joa Posted September 11, 2007 Report Share Posted September 11, 2007 Love Thetford forest with the doglets. Very dog friendly. High Lodge is the most popular Thetford forest attraction. Dogs are not allowed in the childrens play area . They have dog drinking water facilities at High Lodge. There are a few other foresty walking areas around Thetford , although they don`t have the same refreshment & toilet facilities. But parking is cheaper. It is possible to park elsewhere n walk into High Lodge via forests if you`d prefer. No dogs in the cafe but there are wooden benches outside.The area around the shop n cafe tends to get busy. We normally take a picnic n find a quiet spot . If you are planning a few trips into Norfolk for walking it might be worth investing in the Norfolk map by Goldeneye . I bought mine from WHS for £6 or £7 . Think its a cyclist map. Is handy as it is one sheet that`s shower proof n shows loads of fab walks n days out.
