Rachel Rumpelstiltskin
Hello I was just wondering if dogs are allowed on public transport and if anyone knows stagecoach and first great western's policies??
ClazUK
Worth double checking cos I've not worked for Great Western for about 10 years, but the rule used to be a passenger could take 'up to 2 dogs at the discretion of the Senior Conductor'. They usually asked you to use the flip-down seats by the door, so the dogs can be tucked away when people are walking to and from the buffet. Wendbert
Have you tried Googling the relevant transport operators and looking up their policies on the websites?

Rachel Rumpelstiltskin
Ive looking on both companies websites and there is nothing anywhere so i am going to phone tomorrow. I dont want to plan a 3 hour journey through Cardiff city centre at rush hour with my 60kg bergen only to be turned away.
Helly
you could always look at the transport runs and offer petrol money to tag along with one if there is anything close, or alternatively... doesnt your other half have a car? make him drive you, thats what men are for
jacqui d
its a lot of hassle going by train, why not ask your OH to pick you and dog up, far easier and more comfy

ClazUK
Rachel, I've found it: http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/system/galle.../misc/NRCOC.pdf I can't copy it cos it's a PDF and I only have Adobe reader, but you want page 17, item 46.
