I also had an epileptic dog - though with her it was an old-age onset - not young - which changes the perspective somewhat. The vets did prescribe a "liver cocktail" drug to help with the liver failure - and we used milk-thistle as well. Can't remember the name of the drug - will wrack my one brain cell - it was expensive and I remember sending the left-overs to Tailends once Hobo passed on. There was also a very good forum somewhere which was for canine epilepsy - again I no longer have hte link - but try googling "canine epilepsy" and you should find loads of stuff. Good luck

So basically - the problem is the local availability of the backup peice. Which is easy to say - but how on earth do I ensure the local availability? If location A backs up to location B and you wish to restore to location C.... how do you make sure location C can see location B??? And how do you address is when the standard sbt_tape backup malarky generates an error?

More frustrating than terrifying.. I can restore to the local server. I can connect the RMAN to the remote SID... I can issue a restore controlfile command and it groks it but fails on the data channel restore... Do I need to redirect my TNSNAMES.ora? Or should I leave it in the orig config? Should I "push" from the RMAN locally or do a domain login form the target server and "pull" from the RMAN attatched storage? What IS a girl to do?

Some just do.... stick it in the dishwasher on a regular basis. Also - as an alternative - use liquid detergent or the tablets in the wee bag thing that you shove in the drum.

Happy Birthday Tobleronie.... today I am... grouting the bathroom floor. Oh Joy. Then later I will be painting the living room skirting boards. For an encore I will replace a light fitting in the kitchen that blew up. The dogs are rather unimpressed So come on Kazz - what's the big secret? Bunjie jumping this time?

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All awake now? Oh good. Time to Carpe Deum (or is that Diem?) I hope everyone has an EXCELLENT day and wastes lots of time snogging dogs . (Go-on - you know you want to !) (If you don't mind I won't Snog Megan just yet - she had a dose of V&D and is a bit wiffy) (serves her right for scavenging - she should know better at almost 15) (but then again.... she's a dog.... and dogs love to scavenge) (shall I stop writing drivel and go to work now?) (did you know I actually have to make sense to customers?) (surprising huh?)
