3.30 no1 sons school ended 30 mins ago. Still no call back or email

Much as i would like to filthy fowl i cant. Im not exactly a fan of teachers (sorry teachers here who im sure are luffley ) and i promised OH i wouldnt go face to face Deputy head at no1 sons school also happens to be my old english teacher and we go waaaaaaay back and not in a good way and the chances of seeing her there too great and too big a risk of prison terms Much as i would like to filthy fowl i cant. No1 sons school kicks out in 1.5 hrs and i have had no call back and no reply to my email sent last night..... Slowly getting more pished off

I am an angry bunny today. No1 son has ADHD. With meds the hyper side is controlled just enough for him to attend mainstream school. In sep he started secondary school. At the five minute slot to check they had settled ok I mentioned to his form tutor mattie has lost his pe kit, two coats and one locker key at school in a few eeks. Joys of adhd is mattie is very scatty. Teacher promised she would go to lost property with him and if there was a problem with mattie she would call me but said mattie was doing great no problems and life was rosy. Last week or so matties been...erm...fun to live with . No homework seemed to be happening so i check his book to see he has had 4 bloody detentions! Reason for detentions are no pe kit and one threatened detention due to no homework for last two classes. The detentions for no kit have really pished me off because Mattie has been to LP on three occasions. On one Occasion his pe teacher saw him there and told the LP people why mattie needed his kit but LP people will not go through the whole lot so mattie still has no kit. This damn kit is over £100 to buy and ill be damned if im buying a new kit when it could be at school. Yet they are giving him detention for something THEY are causing! His teacher who promised me she would go to LP hasnt bloody bothered either. Of course last night was showdown at home and turns out hes struggling with keeping up with the writing side and some bullying going on at school cos despite all this matties actually bloody clever and hes being teased for that and for being scatty he gets called stupid! Poor kid cant win! Have kept him off school today and left messages for his teacher. God help her when i get hold of her! Rant over

Tony shortly after he arrived was this big.. Today , now 8 and a bit months, hes this big (OH is 6'2 btw!) And this cute... Nora was this big... And today is this big... And this cute..

Thats kinda my thing too lol They dont seem to know exactly where the pain is and the first place they x ray is clear...kinda makes me think it aint that spot! Gawd knows how much they pulled her about today but shes had a shot of painkiller at the vets and is totally refusing to use her back leg again. shes lying on the sofa looking all "woe is me" atm edited to add: I know the sofa isnt "strict crate rest" but shes only sleeping and tbh would do more damage going nuts in her crate cos she wants out and on the sofa.

Its def not as bad as it could have been. What does worry me tho is the vets seems to think we are going to need more x rays if this weeks rest doesnt stop it. Since she hurt herself shes not been for walks (tho has been playing with tony ) but that doesnt seem to be the trigger. Ho hum...will have to see i guess...and but more kongs

just heard from the vets. After the inital "YAY" im not sure we are any further forward! Basically she said she looked at nora again before x ray and decided that it was her hock giving her the most pain (so not hips anymore or knee but hock!) so she decided to x ray her hocks and not her knee or hips Her hocks apparently have much more flexibillity than a normal dog but the xray itself showed nothing wrong, no bone or cartilidge growth which is good. The outcome is nora is to be crate rested for the next week, only allowed four five minute on lead walks a day and metacam . Apart from the fact nora will go barmy with that level of walking we still dont know what the problem is.

Would you class 11 am as late morning Its offical. Im completly paranoid.

ummm...dont think thats the tplo one lol That one seems to involve a plate pinned to the bone and somehow does away with the need for a cruciate ligament full stop. The worry for me is if its CL noras build really goes against her and any replacement ligament could be damaged easily putting us back at the start. Tplo is a much more intrusive op tho...i dunno...i wish they would hurry up and ring!

oooo person with experience ! What type pf op did gyp have? Was it the tplo one? cos from what i read (which may be rubbish) thats better? Involves pins in the leg as opposed to relacing the ligament itself?

Shes gone in X rays later this morning early afternoon. Vet had another good feel of her legs and thinks hips are ok but stifle joint not as good one side as the other but still hard to tell cos noras so muscular. Plan is to xray affected stifle and if nothing conclusive there to check both hips. It could also just be nora and nothing at all I hate waiting

Nora is at the vets awaiting x rays. Xrays will be done "late morning early afternoon" so i have hours of stressing before they ring

Thank you Ive just done some googling (never good) If its CL which i know little about its a MINIMUM of 2weeks strict rest with 4-6 weeks minimum on lead controlled walks She wont even be allowed in the garden off lead. Nora would go stir crazy Ive never hoped its just a bruise as much as i do right now

Any bullbreed tho the bigger the better. I love their clumsiness, their smiles, they are the funniest dogs around. They adore you like no other breed ive ever met and i would be lost without at least one around

My baby girl who farts and snorts and just isnt a lady at all is going to the vets on friday for x rays on her hind legs. Chances are she has either HD or Cruciate rupture Either way its not good. Shes only 8 months old and will be gratful for healing thoughts

Lady rings having to rehome her staff. Had since a pup brought from a pet shop by her son. Son takes pup to vet for jabs and training for a few weeks before he leaves home leaving the dog with his mum. Mum works 12 hrs a day so pup is left in the kitchen which he duly destroys. He grows a bit bigger and a bit stronger and mum cant walk him. He becomes a pain when mum gets in so she leaves him in the kitchen a bit longer. He decides to guard his food and then guards his one room in the house. He manages to get hold of poison and at the vets is uncontrollable. He snaps at strangers and has bitten a kid in the house. Hes not been walked in over a year and never mixed with dogs. Hes a big lad too she says so i ask for pics. This dog is 100 percent american bulldog. For almost two years, two different vets, one training school, one pet shop, friends and neighbours and even the owner thought this dog was a pure stafford. Hes going to be pts in the next few days because he has no hope of a rescue place and the owner cant risk him anymore. Wtf is wrong with the world?

Right .... So no dogs in ireland at all then. Stupid people.
