Well said Sarah, that post is almost word for word what I would have written had I not been so lazy. I could add a few names to the list of banned rescues too and the effect that the innuendo has on the volunteers is mirrored by the effect the witch hunts have on the rescues, people like you and I who will never again become dependent on any forum except our own. The message we send to Ray Barnes is clear - we dont need ya pal !!!

Common knowledge that my ex was a Labrador breeder and Ray knew all about that when we were granted rescue status in the first place. I fail to see how 2 breeding bitches made us a puppy farm. It did however give us knowledge and facilities not available to most ordinary peeps. The real reason we were slung off was simply that we took Irish dogs I believe and the same thing has happened to others who take pity on the Irish pound dogs. At that time NOT ONE SINGLE IRISH RESCUE was allowed to openly advertise on DP.

Blaze has a new home and so far its looking good.

We thought at first that it was adverse press about the Rotti's in their area that caused the problem, they were told by a friend that there was Rotti in him. In fact we think that his colouring stems from Saluki but I doubt there is any PB dogs within 5 generations. The problem was simply that their young daughter and Blaze didnt hit it off and we are pleased that he has come back with nothing against him at all. Here he is.................
