  1. Deerhounds of course but I rather like Otterhounds. Red and white setters should be saved but like Irish setters its a shame when everyone breeds a litter from thier pets and ruins it. I used to have setters of various types and I am rather partial to them but nowdays give me a scruffhound everytime. Everyone should have a Deerhound and a Whoppity just once in thier life ( Once is probably all anyone can cope with )
  2. ITS NOT RAINING IN WALES !!!! The birds are tweetering ,the sky is blue and the outside dogs have come out bleary eyed covered in straw. As did Jazzy the shire mare with straw in her ears. Everyone else is sunbathing already. We may have made it through another winter...
  3. Im a bit concerned about the testamonial from Phuket Thailand and the presumably naked man cuddling a retriever. The caption reads I taught my dog to be a good boy or something. I wonder if gary Glitter has a dog
  4. Im sorry but for chocolate Id wrench the door off
  5. It sounds like it intends being an abscess in which case shouldnt the doctor have let it full fill its destiny ? Other wise it dampens down an infection that will appear elsewhere or just keep going up and down in Trevs trousers. Depending where it actually is I should imagine you will be flooded with offers of lancing as lets face it Blackheads or irresistable but Abcesses attract the more professional pointy needle owner. I know someone who had one "where the sun doesnt shine". Most unfortunate that he drives for a living and spends all day sat down. Depending on what time, I can do tommorow. Its car boot day so on a plus side more people may spot him.On a negative side more people may run off with him and theres far more traffic
  6. I'm beginning to think it'd be cheaper to buy my own cow than to keep buying milk for the girls. They literally get through gallons of the stuff Um...I can actually be more helpful than a helpful person in helpful land if you really do want a cow ! Ive got 14 so just tell me what colour !!! Ive got the Hermaphrodite cat in tonight. He/She is a sweet little thing with very expressionate ears. He/she puts them at half mast and hisses at me.
  7. Good I can stop fundraising and chill for a bit if I have an end of the world date. Did it give a time ? Id like to watch the soaps last thing.
  8. I think it may be to do with the amount of worry and care we invest in a particular animal. Your mind gets locked into being ready to react. I know I get into a routine when we are caring for something really sick or old and if for example something coughs or falls over in the night you hear that but not cars and things. Then when that animal is no longer there you only need a reminder to start all those emotions into over drive.
  9. I can see a new DNB being started DEEnot breed. Kill him quietly
  10. Ive got a Springer spaniel and a great Dane doing the wall of death in my kitchen again. Its right underneath my office and the exuberant wooffing is going right through my head. Never before have I met such a happy Springer Spaniel He is Rolexes best friend at the moment.
  11. You are welcome to mine !!! I really want to move more into active campaigning for animals and humans ,Politics and journalism beckons.
  12. Im so sorry to hear this sad news. What a long battle you had,she couldnt have asked for more but it was just her time to go which is no comfort right now.
  13. It causes more harm when people do nothing so if you have information that will help a rescue assess a home then the right thing to do is say now. Saying you knew afterwards helps no one and may put an animal at risk
  14. Yes to those soap eaters who liked the soap flavour and those with pregnant Peahens. Im lurgified so will respond with sense in 24 hours
  15. Jazz , Things always seem worse when you have an infection. Know that you are valued on here and sod the rest of them
  16. Morning all Fugees. It looked like a good day today. It was sunny and dry. THEN the heavens opened and hail battered everyone brave enough to put a nose outside.
  17. I thought the same about a lump in my bed but I found the Orange juice carton I lost the day before. Its worth checking before you worry yourself into a state They kept you locked up permanently did they ?
  18. No I do too.Its fecking toe scrunching cringeworthy I find it a bit too much like being in Robbies head right now when I have enough problems living in my own.
  19. "The Puppy" is now having a nap Rolex has been asked to have a nap but he is too enthralled with his new Springer friend. Im looking at a tube of Sedolin for horses and a tub of ACPs........................................................ I know in my heart of hearts that non of the above would even take the edge of the Dane terrorist. The puppy at least is food orientated and will sleep after brekkys, brunch, lunch, high tea, dinner, supper
  20. No youve posed them poor dogs there. I bet they were just being good and you made them get on the sofa. Ive got a Springer doing wall of death followed by a Dane and then a Deerhound round my kitchen
  21. Lesley and Kazz and everyone else suffering No one can take away the pain of losing a much loved family member but remember most of us on here have suffered a loss and you both helped others through this. Im sure I speak for all the others who extend a huge ring of comfort and empathy as we all mentally hold hands around you both. You are not alone and we all understand the extent of your pain. I have no doubt that all of our animals that have passed already will be there to tell yours its ok and welcome them into the four legged refuge pack. They will be safe, they know they were and are loved and they will wait for you paw in paw with all our much loved furry family. Even Honey will be there mooing her head off and telling Dylan to behave. We have a gateway to the bridge and when we get there wont we laugh when we recognise all those nutty animals we have heard so much about and shared sorrow at thier passing ?
  22. Yawn, Im awake worrying about the emergency horses coming in. People keep getting them and then cant cope. When will they realise that this is real life and not a practice run. If they can figure it for themselves why not figure its the same for the animals. They cannot just end somethings life because They made the mistake. If I could wave a wand and it became obligatory that it was them facing the bullet and not the animal then the death rate for "human mistakes" would plummit immediately.
  23. Theres a man in Port Talbot offering plates and bowels. I did enquire if body parts were allowed.
