  2. Have thought of another question - how long approximately will it take to get back to Paddington using the bus and then changing to tube? Our train leaves at 7.15 from Paddington.
  3. I love Mark Thomas. IMO he is brilliant, the way he uses comedy to highlight serious topics. He was on Jonathan Ross on R2 on sat morning, well worth listening to (probably a pod cast)
  4. We will be arriving at Paddington. Thanks for the route info, I had'nt thought about the bus!
  5. In the Easter holiday I am taking my 10 yr old son to the Imperial war museum. I have had a quick look at the rail routes to the museum (in Lambeth). I would like some advice about the best/most interesting route to the musuem. The choice is either the tube or an above railway. I would like my son to see somthing of London (its his first visit), but dont want to spend ages getting there. Advice would be very welcome.
  6. The book I would reccomend does not relate to christenings, but it to do with love. Its called "guess how much I love you", IMO if you were the recipient of this book you would realise that you were much loved. ps In case you have not read the book its about a parent (I think rabbit, long time since I read it) describing how much they loved their child.
  7. I have a claim to fame, since the street search (google) was launched. If you look up Ashdene Close, Fairwater, Cardiff, you will see my mum walking her cav Millie Her face has been blurred, but if you know her, you would recognise her. She has also been mentioned on a local radio show which was discussing google and privacy and was referred to as "that woman walking her dog in Fairwater". My mum thinks its really funny
  8. I am glad you could alter your hours to make your journey a bit easier
  9. I cant offer any technical help, but have a I think computers have thier own brains.
  10. for you, it sounds very painful. Why dont you phone NHS Direct and see what they say?
  11. Went to the doctors and he said I have mild anemiea (sp), and has given me iron tablets. I also have to have another set of blood tests done.
  12. I am glad you feel better now your iron levels have improved. Thanks for your kind comments
  13. thank you, I can get a result on google with ferritian. Dont know if I have high or low iron, but at least I know I dont have a lurgy. Anemia was one of the tests being done.
  14. Last week I had some blood test done because I was so tired I was in bed for 9 every night for 2 weeks. I phoned for the results and have to see a doctor tomorrow about something called Serum serritian. I have tried to google it but nothing comes up. The receptionist spelt it for me, so I dont know why google could not find it. So, does anyone know what this is and what does it mean? (I am worried now that I have some lurgy )
  15. Your new bathroom looks lovely. Well done for getting the council to do what you wanted, its your home after all
  16. I hope that you will be able to be married tomorrow. My thoughts and prayers are with you both.
  17. I tried the link but something went wrong and I could'nt buy it on line, so will go to a Sainsburys. I will definately not leave it on my car as I have to park on the street. A few years ago I had a 4' tall palm pinched from my front garden!
  18. I have seen cars with big red nose stickers and wondered if anyone know where I can buy a stick on red nose for my car? Also, will the glue on the sticker do any damage to my car's paint?
  19. Am I on the first page Happy St Davids Day to everyone
  20. Thanks for the suggestions, my Mum mentioned anemia, had'nt thought about thyroid. Will see if it continues next week and get a doctors appt.
  21. This week I have been exhausted! I have only had work for 1.5 days and am not doing any more than usual. I have been in bed at 9, 9.30 and 9.45 for the last three nights and have had to drag myself out of bed every morning. These are very early times for me to go to sleep, but I have not been able to stay up any longer. So, O wise women, is tiredness a symptom of the menopause
  22. I saw the Slimming World group leader (of group that I used to go to) yesterday and she has put on loads of weight! I wonder what happened?
