  1. Totally agree with all this....she came across as a very nasty woman and now Coleen likes Julie
  2. EAD

    X Factor

Pink girlie was just rude rude rude and her parents should be thoroughly ashamed of her though her father seemed no better the way he stormed out onto the stage. I dont know why I watched it as I swore I wasnt gonna get sucked into it this year. Auditions are funny though.
  3. Im watching CBB, Jasmine was just awful, glad shes out. Not liking Coleen much and her sister was really quite rude to Julies hubby on BBBOTS yesterday. Danica and Rhian out soon please, The occasional table is funny so I say keep him in for a while. Julian to win!!!!!!
  4. Great news about Blue. Took Phoebe for a hack today, trotting along happily until she spotted a large sack lying at the side of the road. Some spinning and backing up later, we turned for home. Phoebe 1 Me 0 Had a lovely hack on Bob on Tuesday too. Lesson tomorrow on Barney, then riding Phoebe afterwards. Hope the rain stays away.
  5. Anchovy mess over Arron was hilarious I like Scott, Luke S, Luke A, Adam, Sara & Lauren. Caroline out next please...I cannot stand listening her whining voice another week.
  6. Hope Milo is happy and stress free in his new field and look forward to fabulous hacking piccies. And hope Blues feet are on the mend and any chance of gorgeous farrier piccie Glad all the horses are ok PW, scary stuff though Banner and well done Wanda. Congratulations Loki & Clare....theres no stopping you two. Lessons still going good, have been riding Barney jumped course on Friday and jumping today with no stirrups (actually whole lesson was pretty much with no stirrups). Rode Phoebe twice last week and once at the start of this week, she got shod a few days ago and was a bit lame so haven’t seen her since. One of the girls at the yard has her horse there on livery, shes working a lot atm so asked me if I fancied taking Bob out for her, hopped on him on Friday for a couple of minutes and hes lovely (like a bit comfy sofa)
  7. Big Jack is gorgeous but so is Blue even if he is a rascal Hope Milos move goes smoothly and you get settled into the new yard.....not fair all the hassle you're having. Ouch Ouch Ouch Clare…..take it easy.....piccie are fab though. Good lessons this week, rode Barney yesterday, jumping over pole and up onto bank and down off the other side and another couple of bigger jumps, first time I was sitting too far forward and he slid to a halt at the second one but next time instructor was shouting ‘sit back sit back’ and he jumped both perfectly. Phoebe sound again so think im riding her tomorrow afternoon and if all goes well we’re taking her along with the girls loan horse to do some xc next week. Cant wait
  8. Farrier was out with Phoebe yesterday, said her foot seems ok though he thinks her back is sore so ‘back woman’ is coming out to see her which will hopefully help. Looking forward to chestnut filly piccies Lilli sounds a real character There is a Shetland stallion called Dennis (the menace) up with Phoebe along with another younger mare called Limit and a gelding called Monty. Dennis is suchhhhhhhh a monkey, tries to boss the other horses, stamps his tiny hooves at them and generally struts about like he owns the place....must try and get a piccie of him
  9. Ohhhhh a Dales.......very nice, hope it goes well and can't wait for piccies. Was up this evening to see Phoebe, they're moved into different paddocks so happily grazing away. Still lame, farrier coming out over next few days so if she's no better hopefully he will find something. I'm being an impatient mare and just want to get riding her.
  10. Wow Clare looking good, cant imagine being brave enough to do 90 Can I join the 'broke' horse club please Went down to ride Phoebe yesterday, my friend had tagged along with camera to get piccies/video and Phoebe was lame, there were a couple of stones in her hoof so think she might have bruised her sole, still as lame today so we'll see how she is over the next week. Hope your week flies by Gooster.
  11. Been ages since ive been here, things are going good with the riding. In lessons ive mainly been riding Barney who is just keen as mustard at everything he does though is a real monkey jumped course of 9 jumps couple of weeks ago, only about 50cm but we're getting there slowly. Also started riding a girls horse, she doesnt ride her anymore, actually has another younger mare on loan so I can ride her when I want. Tried her out and she is just gorgeous, very forward going, loves jumping, xc and has done a bit of everything. Shes about 14'2 and 16 years old and called Phoebe isnt she pretty
  12. Hyjak is gorgeous Hope you can both get to the bottom of Loki & Blues problems, sounds so frustrating. Fab videos Clare btw....doesnt he just look soooo keen at XC. And hope Milos move is good for him too. Riding has been going good, have ridden different horses over the last couple of weeks each lesson which will do me no harm but Barney is definitely my favourite. We've been doing small xc jumps and small course in the arena. Had a quick chat with one of the girls at the yard who has been riding Magic and she thinks the owner might sell him on again as he isnt being used that much in the riding school. Shes been riding him and feels he needs one-on-one attention and ridden daily, basicly a lot more work than hes getting atm. He does try to tank off with her but other times is great. Makes me feel sad for all those horses/ponies out there who dont work out for people for one reason or another and they're just sold on
  13. No advice but hope you find out the problem soon and the solution of course and get back to riding I was riding Barney again today and he is great. We did a few small jumps and next lesson we're doing the small course that will be set up for the show on Thursday night.....cant wait
  14. Well done Clare and Loki Hope you get some answers soon about Blue, he looks relaxed enough doesnt he Vinnie sounds like fun, love chestnuts/liver chestnuts......no piccies Lesson today was on a new pony called Barney being trialled for the riding school and he is a wee cracker, really forward going and loves jumping (a Magic with brakes), riding him again tomorrow morning.
  15. Thanks you lot, I know you'll all understand. Had lesson last week on a cobby youngster called Mystery, all went well though today she was being a monkey, bucking and half rearing when being made go away from the other horse in the lesson. Changed onto an older thoroughbred called Alex and had a great lesson. He loves jumping and we were doing some flatwork without stirrups. Theres a lot to be said for the older more sensible horse. Hope Blue, Loki and Milo are ok, you're all having a rough time atm. Broken laptop so on mobile which is a nightmare lol.
  16. Well done Clare Hope Blue is feeling better and Milo is improving Think the last time I posted I was having trouble with Magic running away with me, well we had a lesson at I think the end of January then a break because of illness/friend in hospital. Back last week and he was a good boy, then on Saturday the first half of the lesson went great, very controlled canter, jumped a couple of small xpoles, then went to go over a slightly larger jump and he charged at it like a bat out of hell. I was threw up out of the saddle, lost a stirrup though by some miracle landed back in the saddle again. Ive lost a bit of confidence on him and its really frustrating and im cross with myself. Im not pushing him forward enough with my leg and holding him at the same time, just sitting there like a passenger and hes taking charge. Young girl from the yard rode him and said yes hes strong but he didnt take off with her. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Think I might be taking alternate lessons on another horse for the next few weeks and see how I get on.
  17. Havent posted in such a long time as ive sort of lost my way with riding atm Since our instructor broke her ankle last year we've perservered with lessons but seem to be going nowhere fast, in fact I think we've went backwards. Also having problems with Magic, he always was strong but hes been bolting off in canter outdoors/indoors/left rein/right rein. They've changed his bit and put on a flash but doesnt make a difference. Sometimes he can be ok, if I do lots of transitions etc and keep his brain thinking, im wondering if hes getting a bit bored with the lessons. Just for a change we tried another school today, they have shows and a lot of people travel to it but the riding school was a different matter altogether. Small dirty pokey indoor, very very skinny pony I was on. Teaching wasnt teaching at all, just someone giving instructions and shouting kick kick kick, hes being lazy. You dont rush a horse into canter, you need a good forward trot first then ask for canter. This was my friends horse, mine was slightly more forward going but just not a good experience at all. Feels like riding school pupils are treated like second class citizens and they can shove you on whatever they fancy with no proper teaching. Is it too much to ask that teachers be BHS qualified. Sorry rant over, im just annoyed and frustrated and disappointed

He is absolutely gorgeous  :GroupHug:
  21. CP you have plenty to look forward to, hope Milo is fit for cantering. Jeanne good luck for Sunday and Billy is gorgeous Clever Blue knowing how to work the walker. Well done Clare and Loki, hope you get to the bottom of his poorliness soon Glad Wanda is 100% Lessons this week on Magic, bit of jumping and flatwork, t’was fun. Three lessons next week Bought a pair of Cavallo breeches on ebay, not sure if they will fit or not but will stick them back on to sell if they don’t. Anyone got a pair, how to they fit sizewise Saw nice pair of striped Pikeur breeches too, might stick a bid on them too.
  22. Hope Milos fit for canter Oh Jeanne Max is lovely, looks a very calm boy Is he? What all do you do in lessons? Well ‘my’ handsome Magic was there today and we had a fab lesson, girls at yard don’t know anything more about whether the guy wants him or not, im just keeping everything crossed and im determined to enjoy every lesson on him as you just never know when he might go. Hopefully my lottery numbers will come up first. Joining a lesson tomorrow with another couple of girls, roll on 11am.
