  2. A huge thank you to the rat secret santa from Astrid and Ingrid. Here are their pressies and card: and a huge thank you also to the mouse secret santa from Tom and his friends. And from us humans who loved the choccies:
  3. I'm so sorry Secret Santa for not letting you know that Ingrid and Astrid's ratty gifts had been received. I thought I'd posted thank yous for both the mice and rat gifts at the same time but just saw that I hadn't. The gifts were really generous and very greatfully received by the furries. Thank you so much
  4. All 10 boys (both groups above) are now living together and all snuggle up together in the rabbit house in their cage and in the hammocks. They can be homed in pairs or groups. Bubble and Squeak have both been successfully treated for mild respiratory infections. All are still waiting for their forever homes
  5. Two of these hamsters, a golden girl and a pale grey/golden boy are being fostered in near Carmarthen with Refuge member Owl. All in West Wales are still looking, as well as one grey boy in Bath and one golden girl in Cambridgeshire.
  6. Tom mouse received his secret santa parcel, on behalf of all the mice here, a little while ago. However, the postie didn't say he'd left it in the shed and we don't use that shed much, so we've only just discovered it. Thank you Secret Santa
  7. One girl being fostered in Cambridgeshire has been offered a lovely home All the others are still looking.
  8. They are here. Three have gone into foster care, one light grey/golden male at Bath Gerbil Rescue and two golden females in Cambridgeshire. The remaining are one golden female, two golden males and two light grey/golden males. All are very sweet and do not bite.
  9. This is awful and is happened in the village next to us I have checked out the photos and will certainly keep my eyes open.
  10. Wow what an offer. I'm sure you have plenty to get getting on with but if you are looking for another project then Rhydowen Rodent Refuge would be very greatful. Actually just a logo or banner would be fab
  11. Doris and Delilah are still here. They are hopefuly going to a foster home soon so they can get more attention. I'm happy to report that the missing fur on Doris is growing back
  12. Bubble and Squeak are reserved, although Squeak is being treated for respiratory problems so they are not available at the moment. No news for the boys. All still here.

Contact/organisation details: Rhydowen Rodent Refuge, www.rhydowenrodentrefuge.webs.com [email protected] Location: Rhydowen, Ceredigion, West Wales Species: Guinea pigs Number of groups: 1 Group: 1 Number of animals: 2 Sex: Males Age(s): 2-3 years Name(s): Harley & GP Colours: Harley is tri-coloured and GP is agouti rex Neutered: No Reason for rehoming: They were rescued from being snake food when they were babies. They are now 2-3 years old and the owner was worried they were attracting rats and that they may get attacked sp they came here. Temperament: They were living seperately as they fell out some time ago. However, since they arrived on the 08/10/09 they have been living together and appear to be getting on well. We are keeping a close eye on them but hope they will be happy together and can be rehomed as a pair. Harley is more confident than GP who is slightly smaller. Medical problems: None known although Harley has some fur missing on his back where the boys fell out some time ago. Will the group be split: No, as long as they continue to get on well Transport available: Some possible to other areas of Wales but will rehome to other areas as long as the home can be checked and transport can be arranged. Other: Photos of these lovely lads to follow.
