  1. I haven't had a massive response to the North East walk either but I'm doing it even if it ends up only me and Ginny!!! No, there'll be a bout four of us for definite but don't care, will still do it. Amy - did you find a bandana for Ginny?? cheers
  2. sounds great Cheryl, have emailed you.

  3. He is looking so much better, bless him. Let's hope that when he's ready someone will give him a fantastic forever home. It's a great idea to do those workshops.
  4. North East Birthday Walk - Sunday 18 April, Millenium Bridge and Quayside, Newcastle upon Tyne, 11.00am. The quayside has a sunday market and it's always busy, walk around the Quayside, lots of coffee/eating places so should be busy, walk across Millenium Bridge to Baltic and then to the Sage, back across Swing Bridge to Quayside. It should be busy as the market has lots of crafts, cakes etc and there's plenty of people about - good to promote Oldies. Anyone interested please let me know, have also posted on Facebook on my page and Oldies. Are we allowed to carry donation tins? or do we need some kind of licence??

That was sooo good of the home, it's exactly what should happen. There is an organisation that helps cases like this, www.papas.org.uk - I know Julia recently helped a case where a man with terminal illness needed a foster place nearby for his 17yr dog. If anything like this happens again it would be worth contacting her.
  6. Well done for taking on another dog - how old is she?? I suppose if everything is new to her she'll just take a little time to get used to things, especially if she's never been in a house before, bless her.
  7. never mind the judging - just send me my rosettes now!!!! Excellent result, well done. Are you raising much in the way of donations etc????
  8. I hope Ginny is still your first customer tomorrow night?? Looking forward to it x
  9. Pics sent and paid via paypal - mine are winners!!!!
  10. I've asked Ruffdogs forum to do a raffle and they are going to organise it. I just need some donations to be used as raffle prizes - does anyone have anything suitable please????
  11. I'm so sorry to hear Sally is poorly. Hugs and healing wishes to her, and to you, I hope she can recover quickly.
  12. Sorry I can't offer a home either but just wanted to say well done for taking her on and giving her a better life than she has ever had before no doubt. It brought tears to my eyes just reading it and can't believe how truly horrible people are. I'm so glad her previous owner gave her away - she is so much better off. I hope she finds a fantastic forever home, although I think she already has one!!
  13. She went to a lovely retired couple from wakefield.
  14. Poor Joe, but what a lucky lad to have found such a wonderful loving home. Run free Joe xxx So sorry for your family xxxx
  15. Lassie has left me!!!!!! gone to her new forever home - yayyyy!!!!!
  16. Oh no - that's a shame. In that case I'll need to know because I will have to book two pitches but am only going to do the stall so if we can't get someone to do 2nd day I won't be going anyway. When is the mailshot? If I can't get on the campsite I can't go either so need to get this sorted fairly quickly. cheers
  17. Come on the north east - halfway through the month and only 1 entry received for our region. I know there's more of you out there.......
  18. Right - I can do the first day, but can't do anything on the Sunday. I have found a campsite 4 miles from Lauder so am going to take tourer on the friday night, but will have to leave on the sunday morning. My sister is going to help for a couple of hours on the saturday but if anyone else can come along to help that would be great. How do I book our pitch at the show????? Can you please put this on the events calender please.
  19. Your accent wasn't weird - you were brilliant. I did a phone interview once and could hardly get my words out and tv is sooooo much scarier so well done for doing it
  20. Fantastic - looks great. Well done to all of you for spending a very long day, but the publicity is fantastic. I love the bandana - can we buy them???? Would love one for Ginny, now that spring is here (I think) it's getting a bit warmer for her to be wearing her "I need a home" jumper so a bandana would be great.
  21. Hi James, She is really lovely. I am currently fostering two dogs so if I was to adopt another it would have to get on ok with them. She reminds me a little of my gorgeous girl who sadly died last year - only the colouring really, Tess was a collie, but a very small one which is why I really want a smaller one. I would be interested to meet her and I know you said you work in the north east, I live in Newcastle upon Tyne - is there any chance we could meet up some time??
  22. She's now on the Oldies site and she's stunning!!!!!!!! I know it says she is collie height, but is that a small collie or a taller collie?? I'm really looking for a smaller collie but she is very very pretty!!!!
  23. I hope Tilly gets better soon xx it's awful when they're poorly. When you're ready to find her a friend you'll be spoilt for choice!! SO many oldies need a good home. Lassie is currently snuggled up on the settee next to Ginny, with Ginny's head resting on her back - a definite "aw" moment (never got a camera to hand when you need one).
