Well our vet said they can sometimes get inflamed when they are only half full. If diet advice off vet or experts on refuge don't help they can operate to remove them. Touch wood had no probs with lucy's since changing from hills to burns.

If they are inflamed or infected, yes they would make him yelp or off his food. A vets visit methinks By the way, if he won't eat his lovely breakfast he probably won't eat rice. What do you feed him?
