  1. for you Jackie on the very sad loss of Harley and Royal.
  2. Have recently noticed water pooling in the soap dispenser drawer of my Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine.Any idea what would cause this and what I need to do about it? And could it cause a flood?? There's not much in there at the moment - about a teaspoon but it keeps coming back after I wipe out the drawer.
  3. Oh Vena you're learning what "play" means I think you and Benji make a very handsome couple,no reason at all that two older residents shouldn't have a little (or lot) of romance in their lives.Hope you enjoy your day at the beach, that's a brilliant place to have mad moments.
  4. Sounds great Cheryl - do hope you and Henry and ?????? settle in peacefully after all you've been through lately.Look forward to photos - is it not on a website? Nosy cow aren't I
  5. aw Vena you are being so very brave - and getting braver each day as you realise no-one is ever going to hurt you again. You have so much fun to look forward to with all your new companions.
  6. Oh my think I understand that! Yes I was playing around one night when couldn't get on the net and looked at all my e-mails in OE - didn't realise that would move them from the inbox. As long as I can still see them guess it doesn't really matter where they are.How do I set OE to leave a copy on server?
  7. Hope this makes sense to someone! My BT Yahoo mail is showing nothing in the in box but they are in Outlook Express (which I have never used ) I've not deleted them, moved them or done anything else to them (well not the ones I want to keep) How can I get them back into BT Yahoo inbox? And if it's not likely to blind me why would they have vanished?
  8. Hi pipdawson - good to see you on board, - can endorse tegk68s greeting - it's a friendly place.
  9. Sorry Dingbat and Helen too but at the very least more interest has been generated,I so hope Levi is reunited with his owner soon.
  10. Hi there think you might recognise some faces in the thread reccomended welcome on board.
  11. Hi Sue glad you made it on here. It's a great place to be.
  12. Thank you, thought it would be a slim chance but all leads need to be followed.
  13. Sproggie have been asked if there's any chance this could have been Kelly. Do you know where this little one was taken? Probably a very slim chance but her owner is just so desperate now.
  14. I'm sure it would, her owner is absolutely devastated apparently and they are worried about his health.
  15. Have been asked to crosspost this. Please anyone in the Surrey area can you help with postering for this wee girl her owner is elderly and has no access to internet. Plea from someone working on her case: "Hi everyone, I have been working personally with this little ladies recovery and we are now getting desperate, to the point we are worrying about the owners health. He is on the phone daily crying, to see if there is any news. If there is anywhere we haven't thought of raising her profile please help by crossposting. We have got her into the paper last week, but the reporter was more interested in the facts and figures of stolen dogs in Surrey, so no room for a photo. We have got her into another for next week - I hope. The dog was stolen from owners car in Dorking, but owner lives in Worcester Park. I personally drove to his road and put some posters up, so he knew there were people doing what they can. Wimbledon and South London are the favorites for posters just now, although Dorking and areas around have also been done. Radio has also been involved but of course no pictures. We have even tried a pet psychic, who has said the dog spoke to her and is with another family. She misses her master though and wants to go home. There is talk of an estate, three children and one of them in a pushchair. No area though. If there is anything, and I mean anything you can suggest, at least I can tick it off as done if not already." Kellys details are here: http://www.doglost.co.uk/forum.asp?ID=6462
  16. Phoebejo have you been referred to either Orthopedics or Physio - preferably both? She really needs to have specialised treatment,it may eventually heal itself but needs assistance by people who are used to dealing with this problem.
  17. Poor Daisy,it's bad enough for me as an adult dealing with that pain, can't imagine what it's like for a youngster. What treatment has she had? I'm having physio, wear a night splint - that does help as I've not worn it 2 nights running due to heat and paid for it this morning.I do stretching exercises too.Does she have any orthotics in her shoes? There's a waiting list here for Occupational Therapy but should get my made to measure ones in August.
  18. That's a really good idea.No way I could get to London for a walk but maybe Bristol or Exeter.Wonder if several would have a much bigger impact.
  19. Just back from walking the Ds - it's wonderful out there, caught tail end of forecast and they say it will be 3 degrees hotter tomorrow Luckily my house is in shade from trees and is cool for them.We went across the road to the park where they had a swim in the stream - and I had a paddle.Too hot for a "walk" for them, more of a potter.
  20. Me too - mainly because I really don't know a huge amount about the industry other than what I read here.If anyone has a template letter that I could use (others too maybe?) I'd be grateful.I can't do a London march, but think it's a great idea.
