that is a hell of an income for her if she is charging a £1 a time. Is she actually going out of business or is she going to be restocking and carrying on producing. If the latter then is buying them not simply perpetuating the problem or at the very least lining the pocket of someone whose motivation is nothing to do with animal welfare

Remember Kathy you are entitled to an assessment of your own needs as a carer and that is a legal requirement if you request it. It should be offered but in the real world it often isnt. A lot of the time that can highlight the need for additional support, respite etc. The carers assessment should be all about you not what Ray needs so dont be fobbed off with that. Remember as well that even if there is a medical reason that contributes to his behaviour there is still no excuse for someone treating you badly and nasty behaviour is still unacceptable. It might be worth asking your GP as well if there is a counsellor attached to your practice. Might be useful for you as an ear to talk to and for him to look at his behaviour as well, I'm meaning in separate sessions by the way not as a couple

Of course Scamper remembers his big pal Chester Scamper loved Chester and he misses all his pals from the club but nobody played quite like Chester. Hope you and all of yours are well. Didnt drop off the planet but near as damn it for a while. Life got a little bit complicated to say the least, combination of everything happening all at the one time. Glad you had a good visit with the doctor and sounds like you got a good one. Its very easy for doctors to see everything as a stress or mental health problem and not look for physical reasons as well. At the very least doing the tests excludes physical problems. The other thing that it might be is the effects of a virus. I had that a good number of years ago and amazing how it can knock you for six physically and mentally. I think we all tend to push ourselves to keep going and struggle on for ages and the body and mind finally get to a point where enough is enough and you reach burnout. Liklihood is its a combination of physical and stress / psychological issues. If things are generally difficult in life then physical things tend to take a greater toll on us and we dont recover so well and eventually we cant cope anymore. You've done the hardest part by going to the doctor. Hopefully the next one you get will be just as good. If they're not though dont let it get you down and ask to see another doctor in the practice that you are happy with. You really need the support of somebody good. Just keep telling yourself you are worth the very best and dont be too tough on yourself. At times like this you need to be selfish and put yourself and your health needs first. Things can only get better but will need time to get there

Hi I'm Elspeth and live in south Wales now though originate from Scotland and have come here from west wales. There are a fair number of familiar names around. Been on dp for a few years but had a break for about two and a half years cos no computer, life changes, life turning upside down and spinning allways round for a while etc. Came back onto the online world a couple of months ago and wondered where a lot of the folk that used to be around had gone. No idea here existed till a week or so ago. Sounds like there has been a fair amount going on while I've been away!! I live on my own with my two doggies Honey and Scamper. Scamper is about 7 or 8ish, Honey is about 4 ish.
