Thank you for your good thoughts. I normally feel I can cope with anything, but seeing the amount of blood this morning has really shaken me. Not that I'm especially squeamish, just that it's a sign that something is really wrong with Lily.

Have just had an unpleasant drive round the M25 to get Lily to the Royal Veterinary Hospital for an emergency admission. She laid on my feet in the waiting room, she never does that normally. I'm so worried that I'll never see her again.

Glucosamine/chondroitin mixes are generally regarded as fairly free of side effects (according to OH's orthopedic surgeon), but it is usually derived from shell fish which might give a problem. When I ordered Lily's cod liver oil from Zipvit I noticed that they were advertising vegetarian glucosamine which might be worth a go if you are still having a problem.

Could you try calling Trading Standards in Swansea, they will have heard if something funny is going on. Glad you are both OK Richard, maybe you ought to get your shoulder looked at. Rosie lab and I did a beginners course leading up to Christmas. Haven't heard dates for starting the next course which is a bit of a pity as I think Rosie could be quite good as she's really fast.
