  1. That's an unexpected wake up call! Where have you moved to Murtle? Bet you will be pleased to go home asap.
  2. Right thank you, that makes a lot of sense. Bet it causes you lots of extra work though. Have a safe journey Jayne!
  3. Tha'ts a real achievement Sam, well done! Hope that Mark catches up with you soon. This might be a silly question but why do you report to the MOD?
  4. I know exactly who you mean Lesley, the lady with the horse and dogs. I think one was called Cooper? I can't remember her name for the life of me though and it is a long long time since she posted here. Perhaps post in the horse thread to see if one of the horse people is still in contact with her?
  5. How exciting Loobie - lucky you! Have a fabulous holiday Gooster.
  6. Good thoughts for Cascade. Better to have your tooth out with no notice Sam than have a weeks build up to the appointment to get nervous about it!
  7. Sorry about your news Sophie and hope that you get your weight back on track ready for next time. Love that video of Archie! It's great to see Archie but that bit of shallow water with pebbles looks really good too,
  8. Well done Ruby and her team, that's a remarkable achievement, especially in those not so brilliant working conditions!
  9. I've been to the lawn mower museum and quite fancy both the pencil museum and the space museum! Hope that everything is sorted out tomorrow Sam. Will Noah be going back with you? Phebe, hope that you can start avoiding the alligators and that life calms down soon
  10. Marion, I read this and thought of you http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-24080506 - I think the "odd" label can only be a good thing! I've been unable to lock our back door since Fern went out at 6 this morning. Which is a bit of a bother, but at least means that while I am stuck at home I might get on with some more clearing out.
  11. Owl - hope that life is calming down for you. Is there anything I can do to help? Fern went in for a dental yesterday and had 3 teeth out. She got sent home early for howling! She got me up twice in the night too - she's now sleeping happily and I'm trying to get some work done when I feel shattered!
  12. Fabulous! Sounds like the ideal way of doing gradual introductions too.
  13. Sorry that it didn't get to work out. You probably had a lucky escape with the beagle - most that I know have to have a super fit owner to get them back once they've been let off lead and have run off! I caught someone I work with looking at an advert for jackerpoo puppies. She wasn't happy that I pointed out that jackerpoo was a posh name for a mongrel and that £350 was a bit steep! She works full time too, so I really hope that I've put her off. Anyway, fingers crossed that fate will bring Jack a suitable new friend in time.
  14. Best get it checked out Sam. My cousin has developed a similar problem after contracting giardia in Egypt. She could still eat scones made with white flour though for some odd reason! I have been reading about low fat diets for dogs with pancreatitis. Very interesting but I think my head might explode with too much information.
  15. Murtle - I've borrowed OH's insect book as I really do like your beetles and it would be lovely to put a name to them! They do look quite like the rose chafer and also a bit like gastrophysa viridula http://www.flickr.com/photos/9578475@N02/4590586022/
  16. Murtle, OH says they might be oil beetles of some sort?
  17. They are 227mg - let me know where to send them! Fab picture of the Taj Majal, Sam and Mark
  18. Just shout if you find a suitable candidate - I'm very happy to post the tablets. Best to put the crowbar down for the moment Jazz! Have a cup of coffee instead.
  19. Griff - hope that you are soon feeling better and get the misunderstanding sorted out! Jayne - Rosie is still wonky after her vestibular episode. Some days she's worse than others, but she's not right at all. Like Charlie, the vet suggested an MRI to look for a brain tumour, but if they found one it wouldn't be operable, so it seems a bit pointless and stressful for Rosie! Out of interest, the owner of the hydrotherapy place where Rosie swims says that they find dogs with neurological problems seem worse during the hot weather - so hopefully both Charlie and Rosie will perk up when it cools down a bit. Oldies Club people - who would know if any dogs in your care might be taking Previcox? Rosie can't take previcox any more and it would be good if the 16 large tablets left over could go to a good cause.
