  1. Sorry I missed this too - many belated happy returns to you and George. Love Jan, Eddie & Polly x
  2. Long time since I have been back on a horse!! Dusty was only 13.2hh and cost £200 as a 3 year old!! The 5 acres field, stables and tack room cost us £1 a week, hay £1, straw 50p and it was £12 to have him shod!! However, the girl who bought him from me (broke my heart!!) ended up competing at the Horse of the Year Show, as he would jump absolutely anything (have still got a suitcase of old rosettes under the bed), however, was a bit of a nutter (Dusty not me)!! Happy days ....
  3. Me thinks could do a quick swap for your horse!! From 11 until 25 I had a lovely horse (pony) and I think they were the best days of my life before discovering work and boys!! Should have stopped with the horse!!
  4. Everynight at about 8pm after a good walk and his evening meal, we walk into the lounge to find Eddie ... charming But not until he's finished his chores!!
  5. Hiya Sara Keep in touch. Love Jan & Eddie x
  6. Hi I think I spoke to you when one of your fosters managed to escape and Wicc's put an appeal out for help and I rang to see if I could help at lunchtime but the little "monster" had been captured I also have a sensible older collie girly and a looney scruffy mutt!! Jan x
  7. Hi Isly Jan, Eddie & Polly x
  8. Hi Reds Are you the lady with the Wiccaweys dogs??? Jan x
  9. Wow that's amazing - another Eddie look-a-like
  10. Gorgeous pair of matching dogs
  11. Looks like I may have to pinch your George as they do look very similar
  12. Thanks Jacky & Marion Must admit Eddie is a "one off" - he is really naughty but nice with a gorgeous temperament and Polly is a beautifully behaved girlie who is a cuddle monster. Alfie my soul mate died last September (out of the blue) aged 10 years and I think you both would have loved him too, so just for the pair of you, here's my dearly departed scruffy but white terrier, who is so similar in character to Eddie, I swear Eddie sent him to us just to keep us on our toes Picture 1 was taken when he first arrived from rescue at 10 months. Picture 2 was taken on the beach at my mum and dad's in Newquay. Picture 3 was taken 12 months before he died. The black dog in the background was Jack who died 12 months (to the day) prior to Alfie dying.
  13. Hi Marion Here we go ... Eddie & Harry Eddie, Polly & Harry Eddie Polly
  14. Morning All Have just joined this site and am finding it really enjoyable, although not posted as yet. Well a bit about my family:- Harrison (child) aged 6. Lee (partner of too many years to mention) Eddie: Rescue dog of 2 years, big, black and scruffy, terrier type - originally a street dog from Ireland and then came to Rescue in England. Wonderful temperament/character although can be lungy with GSD and Husky type(s)!! If he could spend all day lying in bed with you (or chasing cats) then that would be his ideal day!! Had Eddie since November 2006. Polly: Rescue dog of 8 years old, border collie - oriiginally a working dog in Ireland and then came to Rescue in England and wonderfully behaved, however, has a problem with strangers coming into the home, however, is getting better. She is absolutely great with our family and that is the main thing. She keeps trying it on with Eddie but hasn't quite got the hang of it!! Had Polly since October 2006. Both Eddie and Polly have gotten on great since Day 1 and Polly is teaching Eddie some of her good habits!! Hope to have many happy hours on here (as long as the boss isn't looking)!! Love Jan x
  15. Dogmatic (best invention ever) for Eddie - different dog with it on - walks beautiful and if we encounter a GSD we can now control his lunging
