  3. Oh Jen, sorry to hear you are having to sell your "giant welshie", he is such a handsome big lad and will make a fantastic horse, as you say, whoever gets him will be very lucky. Jacky, that ride looks amazing, I am very jealous, looks like its gonna be such a great location and if you get this lovely weather - wow!
  4. Ok so it is roasting outside and I have the dug out the sunblock - pale with light hair and freckles. I tend to use a moisturiser with a blockout in it but someone told me that they arent good and you should use sunblock on top of it. I do have a face sunblock for hot days but usually rely on the spf15 in the moisturiser the rest of the time?? does anyone know if moist SPF is the same as sunblock SPF?? and, is expensive sunblock actually better???
  5. the tick hook should work fine on an eyebrow?? we have had them on eyelids and everything here recently and the tick hook has not let us down - remember to burn them, dont flush them cos then you jjust add them to the water system
  6. I bet I am paler than you Wendbert, I tried Johnsons, one application was more than I could manage, looked crappy on me, might venture out and try and try Dove cos I am going on holiday at the end of the month and might have to don shorts

  9. Taken on Mr CS's phone, must remember not to ruin it by talking next time - his real name is Little Bighorn but we call him Bighead as he was as a youngster, but turning into a lovely young man - who I have to back this year
  10. working in rescue I have had soem brilliant dogs pass through my hands with cracking pedigrees that are ideal for working or agility etc so I know that when the time comes I would not need to buy one no matter what I wanted to do with it
  11. sounds like fun Jackie Looking forward to foal pics, we arent having any this year as the new barn and stables are being built - dont want a winter without having enough stables for everyone so its a quiet year this year just working with all of the babies from last year, backing the 2 year olds and also welcoming our new 2 year old boy who we are picking up in a few weeks time Got some video of Bighead getting let out into his paddock for a hoolie, its on Mr CS's phone so will try and download it before he goes away on Sunday. I love my boys, they are all so different but so much fun
  12. thought I would update this, the police have refused to act as its not theft and so the vet and the rescue rep are being sued in the civil court for £6000, vet is 1st defendent and rescue rep is 2nd defendent, still cant see how they think they have a hope in hell but we shall find out as the diet for the case is on monday
  13. I know what you mean about them going out clean Clare, the appy boys go out all clean and white and come back in filthy because their turnout paddock is just dirt coloured as the mud has dried enough to let them out in it but no grass has come through so they go out, gallop and buck alot, then roll leaving big patches of hair as they are all moulting their winter coats out, and come back in muddy and happy.
  14. I run "It's A Spring Thing" which is a fully accountable fundraising website and forum for Springer Rescue, with all money raised going to Springer rescues across the country. Dont know if thats the sort of thing you mean, would certainly sell them on the forum if they were Springer friendly ones (ducks on white is luffley but white and Springys doesnt really go )
  15. oooh, any spaniel friendly fabric
  16. Oh my goodness, he is just lush, if you change your mind can I have him
  17. so much to choose from, my head is spinning I am liking dark worktops with oak, looks nice
  18. Help, I am getting a man round to design me a new kitchen, units, floors, tiles - the lot (well ovedue) But I have no idea what colour I want?? I have terracotta at the moment which is good for the dogs as any low level paint work doesnt show the dirt (its a kitchen with a dining area and they sleep under the table). I dont really want to strip all the terracotta gloss wordwork but also fancy a bit of a change. So what colour is your kitchen, does your floor match the colour you have in your tiles etc. Any ideas really appreciated as I am totally flummuxed - probably going for Oak units of some kind???
  19. oooh Sarah, thats a rather nice new horse I spent today bonding with the young boys (3 of them who are all turning 2 in the next few months). It was a lovely day so they all got a thorough grooming including practicing being tied up, having their feet picked up, being brushed and giving kisses - then they got a stint in the turnout paddock - I will have to take my camera next time to get some clips of exploding boys. As they are all being kept as entire stallions they arent out all of the time, but when they get out for a run they just go nuts, its brilliant to watch
  20. Oh Sarah, I am not jealous at all, I hae craved a IDx all my life and cant see it happening - my boss knew of someone who was selling an IDx Appy but I couldnt convince him that we needed one Good luck Wendy, have fun
  21. photobucket keeps crashing when I try to resize a picture or I would post a lovely bruise pic - Mr CS was a bit tiddly and tried to vault a fence
