  1. Dear God, is this really what you and your DP colleagues think about "ordinary" people like me? I'm not involved in rescue, except through making donations and as a transport volunteer. Oh yes and I have 3 rescue dogs and 6 rescue cats at the moment. And as it happens, I've donated what are for me quite significant amounts to DP in the past, including for the new server, which is partly why I'm keeping half an eye on this thread. So, looking down from your lofty heights, just try to spare a thought for the little guys who actually do quite a bit to help rescues like HWAR or RDR out! Edited to say this was posted before I saw roxysmum's apology.
  2. Nosy cow that I am, I've just done the google search too (much more interesting than marking exams anyway). Surely somebody's been taking the .... ?
  3. I know it's all getting quite technical here, but I just want to speak as ordinary member of the public and a supporter of RDR (along with other NW dog rescues). I do feel a bit of a twerp now for contributing to the DP server auction. I did it because I thought DP was a powerful resource for rescues trying to save dogs (after all, we found 2 of our doglets there), and the new server would make it easier for MORE dogs to be saved. Umm, well that didn't quite go according to plan, did it? Needless to say, lulu's mum has now 'resigned' from DP!
  4. Brilliant idea, but rather you than me! I'll sponsor £10 fixed amount.
  5. Just to say I'm still waiting for my wedding photo frame and a dollop of reindoor poo. (Maybe the reindeer isn't being cooperative? ) No great rush for either, though!
  6. Well, who knows I may just be persuaded to put him up for auction sometime in the future - only for a very very good cause, obviously - so you two could be reunited one day!
  7. I wish to complain. I bid in good faith for Marty the Christmas Moose, being led to understand that he was smelly, cheesy and in very bad taste. He popped through my letter box this morning, and he turns out to be a very charming and attractive young moose indeed. Can I have my money back please?
  8. Purple webbing slip lead arrived safely today, thank you Wendbert.
  9. Just paypalled £10.50 plus a bit for paypal fees.
  10. Is paypal OK? (Weren't you clever finding a pic of Bess, by the way!)
  11. Thanks lil_angel - sorry, but I've not visited here for a couple of days. I think the wine red sounds like Bess' sort of thing. Is it still available?
  12. Hello again. Can I order a fleece coat with the velcro strap? Bess is 20 inches long from base of neck to tail. I'd prefer a plain colour for her - she's a lovely foxy rusty colour herself, so she looks nice in greens and browns. I'm a bit confused now - what do I do next? Thanks!
  13. Hi Our dear old Bess is 15, and she's feeling the cold as well as her age at the moment. She sleeps in our bedroom in a nice warm bed with plenty fleecy blankets, but she always kicks them off during the night. (She also has a hot water bottle ) We humans can't bear to sleep with the heating on, so I'm worried she'll feel the cold by morning this winter. What I'd like ideally is fleecy doggy pyjamas, but I know that's just plain silly. I was wondering about one of the fleecy coats, but I can't see them staying on her all night as she's a wriggler. What do you think? xx
  14. I've got quite fond of him over the past week or so ... £5.50 please.
