  3. All sorted now, thank you very much helpful fugees
  4. I'd go along with that one - we go quite a bit, were supposed to be going for New Year but it fell through, would have been 4 people with about 20 dogs and they thought that was pretty normal!!! And the owners are lovely, and you can walk to a couple of different beaches from the site.
  5. I can't remember what her proper name on here is to PM her and I am looking to get a couple of pictures done by her. Can someone help my frazzled brain please Thanks
  6. I'll be adding photos of my lot in their new collars tomorrow when they open their Christmas pressies!!! Your collars are fantastic, great value and absolutely beautiful. They have lasted better than any other collars I've had, which is pretty impressive considering the hammer my lot give them hanging off each others necks playing!!! Thank you for all your hard work and for giving so much to rescues.

    Mud Fever

Hi Reds I turn out with the cream on, but that is mainly because Apps has major issues with his breathing so can't really safely stand in for more than about 12 hours without going wheezy with his breathing - despite special bedding and haylage!! Like Claire said, if he will stand in I would for a couple of days - it is amazing how quickly it seemed to clear up once it was being treated. And no I didn't do it every day, I would wash/pick scabs etc on an evening, leave to dry properly over night then put cream on in the morning to turn out, leave them for the next 2/3 days then do the same thing again. Good luck with it all
  8. None at all, nobody else was up and about at 4.45am this morning!!! Will see a black lab, a little terrier type, a GSD and a collie X later on when I'm back at the stables.

    Mud Fever

Apple gets mud rash really badly if I'm not careful, I tend to wash with warm water and hibi-scrub and get as many scabs off as possible in the evening, stable overnight then in the morning put a cream called muddy marvel on, it acts as a barrier cream to stop any cack getting in to the open wounds and also as an anti-fungal/anti bacterial to treat the actual mud fever, I still turn out with this cream on, just make sure that the legs are thoroughly cleaned and re apply cream every 2nd/3rd day. This seems to clear the problem up really quickly and seems to help to prevent it re-occuring quickly. Hope this helps
  10. Thanks, hope I hear something soon, they should all be there by now
  11. Have all my parcels arrived safe? I don't think I've seen them all mentioned on here
  12. When Maddie my Saluki girl ripped her leg open she was stitched up twice and both times the wound split open again due to typical pointy thin skin. In the end my vet did a living skin graft, taking a piece of skin from her belly, leaving it attached at one end, turning it round and stitching it down her leg to cover the gaping hole left from the wound. This healed fantastically and fast because it took all the pressure off the stitches and the blood supply was still in tact to the graft because it was still attached at one end where it came from. Maybe if Susie's wound opens again it could be something that your vet would consider, give me a shout if that makes no sense!!! The only thing it has left Maddie with is nipples down her leg cos of where the graft was taken from!!!
  13. Think I might try roast lamb in it this weekend, have a joint in the freezer that could do with using. Thanks for all the info, will be using lots of them!!!
