She who dares.................wins well mostly. I have been reading the thread and it's obvious to me, humble opinion that I have, that you are really concerned for Dane, after reading his story, I can see why. What a heartbreaker. So, if you never try, you will never know. If you try and it doesn't work ( it will, you sound like a wondeful person ) then at least you will have tried. BTW I don't think they are called padded pj's I believe they are called, extra insulated leisurewear, with handy wrap-a-round sleeves, accessorized with cute little buckles and belts. But again, I could be wrong. All the very best, let us know how it goes. Lucky Dane, he's caught your eye.
  5. Sending oodles of love and warm wishes. Get well soon Pickle
  6. I wasn't trying to make it a race issue. The point I was trying to make, and poorly, is that there are many people who get something for nothing in this country, and I cannot blame this family for taking what they are given. There is no incentive for them to do different. But I stand by my comment that many people don't have pride anymore. At theend of the day, as long as they aren't allowed to buy this house at a ridicously low price and then be allowed to sell it in the future for much gain. Hopefully somebody else will gain the benifit eventually.
  7. Great pics Well done you, I fail to get mine on here, have tried photo bucket etc. Luckily OC put them on for me. What lovely animals you have.....4 legged kind
  8. I can understand neither of them working, what would be the point? But.........we do make it too easy for people. Those who live here and those who are refugees etc. We are in a position of earning too much to get help, but not earning enough that it is a struggle. We are 'just below' help for dental, opticians, prescriptions, etc. We pay our taxes, including road tax etc. are up to date with insurance, yet so MANY people don't bother. And we all know who they are. These people should contribute somehow, if the guy earns £350 a month at Asda, reduce his benefits by the same. It makes my blood boil that I like many others, work hard long hours, whilst lazy people like this get it all. There's no pride. Britain is losing it's pride. If I am patriotic I would get accused of being racist. Bring back National service. let everyone who lives here contribute to the country, unless they REALLY can't.
  9. Hi Fiona A huge welcome to you and your 'family' There are some lovely people on here. Hope you enjoy getting to know them all
  10. What a beautiful dog. I understand your pain. The more you love, the more it hurts, but you can not love because it hurts. He was the most gorgeous dog, you were so lucky to know him and for him to know you. I'm so very sorry he has left you, and I'm so very sorry you hurt so much. He was magnificent, thank you for sharing these pictures with us. One day you will look back and the memories will make you smile, until then....it's okay to cry, really it is. Run free and painless Ice.
  11. A belated but well meant HAPPY GOTCHA DAY RUBY
  12. Hi Julie Thanks very much. I would like to think that Pete approves. As for Arnie, upon my word, he has a new red collar with bones around it, and a smart black and leather lead to go with it. I will email Cindy a pic so she can put it on here when she has time. He's a cutie, the MOST independant dog I have ever known. Bless Watch this space
  13. Here's to the happy memories you share and to the love you gave him To brodie x
