  1. Best of luck with Crusty Lady and well done you for not giving up on this one.
  2. Morning Cheryl33 Hope you get a helpful answer from your manager. RMF: bought myself a cheery marigold plant to sit on my desk.
  3. Can't say much more. You're being incredibly brave and you're in my thoughts.

  5. Hiya, Hope you don't mind but I've been pondering this and decided to ring up the RSPCA emergency line for advice - thought since I couldn't give any location etc details they wouldn't wheedle anything out of me and it doesn't commit you to any course of action. They said that the social worker is responsible to ensure the dogs are rehomed and that the RSCPA would send out someone to look at the situation if a complaint was lodged. She said whether the dog is being fed and let out is irrelevant - the fact that it is on its own so much and someone is not there to let it out when it is needed more frequently, and the whole ' it will fade away' thing is not acceptable. I asked about what their course of action might be and she said that they would contact the sister and try to help her to rehome the dog, if that was not successful the dog would be homed by them. I asked about pts and she gave the usual, no healthy dog is ever pts in RSPCA and when I asked about unhealthy she said it was based on quality of life... Complaints are confidential. I'm happy to chat if you want to pm me your number
  6. I was going to ask if you'd had any help from the Dog Warden. If there is a possiblity the dog needs medical attention I would hope they would step in (or maybe i'm naive...)
  7. I'm having a crummy day My dad's been recently diagnosed with depression but still hasn't come to realise just how bad he is and my mum is desperate to fill him full of pills and pack him off to therapy so that he can be better TOMORROW. She's not coping, just had her on the phone from her car so dad can't hear, but she refuses to accept that she needs to talk to someone (which she does). I've got a hole in my tooth and can't get hold of the dentist. My eye tic is driving me nuts. ANd I'm about to ring the solicitor about our pub purchase which has been going on nearly six months and got no further forward than it was back in April. Aaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhh.
  8. Blimey, you must have the patience of a saint Am also bored and also have a flicky eye tick thing which is driving me mad. I'm either tired (well, yes,) or stressed (hope not - not supposed to do that anymore). Want to know more about banana juice.
  9. My name is Dylan and I am a Sofaholic. Sometimes I snooze on it... Quite often I stare at my ball on it... Sometimes we all stare at my ball on it... There's lots of raaarrring on it... The cocker gets annoying on it... And at the end of the day, we all cuddle up on it... I LUF my sofa and I'm not ashamed of it.

    Collie X's

Dylan is (we think) a beardie x with a whuppety thing, maybe with a bit of border collie thrown in for good measure. He has a collie's conentration when he's waiting for you to throw his ball and a whippet's speed when he's chasing after it. And here with the Spanner:
  11. Greg Lorriman I just don't understand how anyone can say that not having a human soul means feeling no pain. Talk about a lack of humanity.
  12. Without any doubt, Clive's would be Sexual Healing by Marvin Gaye: Ooh, now let's get down tonight Baby I'm hot just like an oven I need some lovin' And baby, I can't hold it much longer It's getting stronger and stronger And when I get that feeling I want Sexual Healing Sexual Healing, oh baby Makes me feel so fine Helps to relieve my mind Sexual Healing baby, is good for me Sexual Healing is something that's good for me And especially the chorus: Get up, Get up, Get up, Get up, let's make love tonight Wake up, Wake up, Wake up, Wake up, 'cos you do it right He's a complete sensualist! Still thinking about Dylly.
  13. I think I'd be scared by a bread machine that could wake me up. What else might it get up to?

Coryn - do you know of anyone who collects stats about numbers of poundies / rescue dogs / dogs pts? I know its unlikely since there are so many different organisations doing this work but would really help make more impact in news articles etx.
