  1. Bob was expecting visitors today but they didn't show up! He had a bath to be especially smart, and the nice ladies at the kennels opened especially for his visitors. So we're all very upset that they didn't show up or even call to advice they weren't! So Bob is still looking for a forever home, he is now a little over excited in kennels as he is missing human company desperately. So if anyone could fit him in as afoster that would be wonderful
  2. Come work with me Alex!!! I'm starting a Recruitment campaign soon
  3. Ah yes very cute... welcome home Pudding
  4. After a couple of pretty tense days , OH has made contact with his brother in Australia. He is very close to the devastating fires and says there are plooms are smoke in the air, you look across from his house and your can see the fires! The family out there are all now accounted for, but they have lost friends in the fire
  5. MMM yes I have this burg! I'm on week 3 and my doctor has opted for giving me the anti biotics as I'm feeling a little hormonal so I think my look of 'give them me or die' obviously worked!! So hopefully I can make a recovery slightly quicker than you and Debs have done....
  6. Mmm I'll try and ask our H&S chap later. We have had loads of communications coming out recently, initially we were told to work from home when we could due to the weather as they didn't want us travelling in unless necessary. The car parks have been gritted twice a day and the paths to and from, where they've frozen those paths have been closed until physically cleared. We had another mesage come out on friday saying as the snow was melting and falling off the office roofs, people parked around needed to move their cars to 'safe' places and people walking around needed to keep off the paths under the roof line.... so they've tried to be pretty proactive, we also had buses on for those people parking off site to make sure they go in as safely as possible. That makes me feel there is a duty of care or maybe I work for a pretty safety conscious firm?
  7. Met a lovely stallion today Am now off to get my mares DNA tested to decide who is going to give me a black PRE cross foal.... My throat is very sore and I feel like pants again
  8. roads in South Derbyshire and up to Ashbourne are clear, M1 upto Mansfield is also ok today. We're expecting more snow over night and possibly Monday. I hope itsn ot much tonight as I'm driving to London tomorrow
  9. The 'Big Brown Bears' are GORGEOUS! And soo tolerant to live with the Bungles. I pity any cat who has two to live with! Cleo looks like a character! She looks like butter wouldn't melt in that picture but I'm pretty sure the Bengal fosters may tell different tales
  10. Young Bengal male found in Derby City centre. Is microchipped but the phone number doesn't work and the address is in Doncaster. We've advertised locally and written to his chipped address. Currently in a cattery, please email me for more details or if you know who this gorgeous boy may belong to.
  11. RUGBY TOMORROW!! Wooowhoo! Might have a stinking cold and feel rough but I'm not missing a trip to Twickers tomorrow. OOo and I might just be going to see a certain Black Andalusian stallion on Sunday but hes not called Tornado.
  12. Got all the details today for my Parelli Assessments, so now have a direction and loads of assessments to do!! AHHHH Scary. I maybe going on Sunday to look at a certain black Andalusian stallion
  13. My Dog groomer is in the same camp as your Claz. She says that she can tell the dogs on Bakers of something equally as poor as their coats aren't as glossy, they're hyper or obese. She bangs on at people about it all the time. I feed mine Safepets Intelligent Feeding- Greedy Mix and its brilliant. Not least as its produced by a certain Fugee on here. The Greedy Mix stops Mac bolting his food and it takes him twice as long to eat his meals instead of bolting it down to then throw it up again
  14. Crikey Claire Glad its not your heart! My friend had gall stones and she is terrified of ops and hospitals, so she went to a chinese herbal therapist and was given some tea concoction to drink, smelt awful but she swears it worked as shes not had any more problems bor about a year!
  15. Let me introduce my cats: Jake, my 10 year old snow boy. Jake came into us as 'Babyshakes' and was a cat killer! He was off his head and used to bite me alot. Hes now a complete teddy bear, he is opinionated and has to sleep next to me at night or he creates! Hes not very photogenic but hes my gorgeous boy. Maddi, is Jakes Great Grandaughter. She came into us having had a litter too young and completely traumatised by it all. She is very challenging, she will only let me stroke her while eating and other than that she is a stress head. She wee's anywhere and everywhere if shes stressed and we've worked hard to chill her out the only problem being shes gets very stressed when new foster cats come in and it will trigger her to start marking. Shes 4 now and been here 2 years. Roo, he came in with his Mum and his litter mates when he was 6 weeks old. Hes not 14 months and a complete hooligan! I said I'd never have a young Bengal again but he managed to sneak in under my radar! He likes to wake you up by touching his cold wet nose on your neck, hand or face its not pleasant! I also have the gorgeous Taz and Gizzy in with me for foster, they're both 12 years old now and are real characters, extremely vocal and are not happy that they're confined when we're out to the spare bedroom!
  16. I got a camera for Christmas and these are my first attempts at some action shots of the dogs: Abbie in the garden playing fetch this morning. Abbie chasing her ball. Mac stealing the ball Mac trying to destroy the ball! this picture of Mac makes me laugh!!
  17. I'm surprised hes not filed a complaint about being taken out in the snow! I hope he had a cup of hot milk when you got home as well to let him thaw out.
  18. I'll be back to add mine shortly but feel free to add yours, a whole thread dedicated to our gorgeous push-me-cats!
  19. Very good Where are they hitching a ride too??
  20. My boss texted us all and cancelled our meeting in Nottingham today, so I'm pleased. I was debating calling in sick as I'm all snotty and grotty but now I can happily work from home. Well could the email system has crashed and there are no IT staff in to support it
  21. Was woken up at 7am this morning with the Gooney kids on the close screaming as the schools are all closed here. THey've now gone off with sledges and shovels to play in the snow. I wish I didn't have a stinking cold and sore throat otherwise I'd have been out with them!!
  22. Lesley, you have my sympathy. I am also phobic of dentists but have found a great one now who really looks after me and I've known him about 25 years. Find the strength to go, take a friend to hold your hand I do Am meant to be on a course today but have stayed at home as I've lost my voice and feel grotty. I slept on the sofa last night and my back is killing me as well.
  23. Well done Max! I'm pleased it went so well and the pictures are great. Liking the new Equifleeces, Wenders!
  24. You might not have said that if you'd seen him cnatering off down the lane earlier that day with OH on his back!! While veering violently towards a ditch, I think he fancied learning to jump
  25. Helps if I post pictures!! Here is the handsome Mr.Newt, who I think has grown and changed loads since last May, what do you think? and doing his best giraffe impression My gorgeous old girl, Blondie with me the not so gorgeous or old!!
