Ok so who can remember my foal Molly? Well she was 5 on 10th April this year.... This is her as a foal.... I've not seen Moll for two years as my ex took her when we split up as part of the 'settlement' anyway Moll came up for sale as he'd left her on al ivery yard and not paid his bills for 5 months! To cut a long story short I secured her a home for a couple of years with the hope I can buy her back and see her as much as I like. Shes grown loads but still the lovely Moll, aside from crying when I saw her over her lack of weight, bad back, poor teeth and never endingl ist of things we need to sort for her, she is fine. Oooh nearly forgot here is a foal at our yard, a filly who is just adorable. This is when she was a day old shes now 3 weeks old and doing great, super cheeky

CPL in Derby have traps they will loan out. They're about 30 mins from Burton. Or look on www.catchat.org at the lists of rescues and some of those may have traps to lend if you call them.

No foal Looks like Jas likes to keep us all on our toes! She started with contractions last night but then stopped. She is fit to burst but is happily chomping haylage when I left earlier. Its her first foal and the last one from the YO stallion so its a special baby for her. It will be coloured warmblood. I promise pictures when we have an arrival.

Exciting news... the pregnant mare at my yard is in labour as I type. I fetched her in earlier and was very excited to report to the YO that her little lady was in labour. It was early signs so we're hoping to have a little bundle of foal fun come tomorrow am.... I'll bring photos

How is Feniks now? Has Loki settled Clare? We've had a hectic week, Easta has been kicked badly the vet thought she'd broken her leg on Wed. But it seems now its badly bruised and has a cut on it down to the bone. Mr Newt is a culprit so I am up for homg ideas, I've tried to send him to Trallwm but Lesley is wise to my plan And my other news is that a certain other chestnut filly.... has found her way home.

I woulld work her in a rope halter with a 14ft line attached. If you want to call me I'm happy to have a chat through what I'd do or sugest someone local to you who could assist.

I would suggest lots of ground work, because the pony obviously doesn't see people as the leader. He is being very disrespectful and/or scared. I'd start with seeing how the pony leads up and how he moves away from pressure. Then build a program of things to do on the ground from there. I would suggest if he is such a good jumper that he does it our of fear and hes doing what any prey animal does in fear- RUN! I'd not rule him out as a childs pony without actually seeing what drive such an adverse reaction.

I've been considering fostering for some time now and wasn't sure if the fact I work full time would go against us. Do you have to be full time at home to foster?

Yes this is really important. There have been cases recently where loan horses have been repassported and sold through meat markets. Its worth investing in getting a legally binding contract to ensure your horses safety
