  1. Morning Had the most lovely Cotswold break although it was quite manic too as we were whizzing round trying to see lots. We used Airbnb, third time now, and once again we were really pleased with it. Hope you are all well xxxxxxx
  2. I'm away having a teeny break near the Cotswolds (Upton upon Severn) it's very pretty here although very flat lol
  3. So sorry Jayne xx Hi Kazz xx Can't believe that my baby will be 18 tomorrow !!!
  4. I have been given a carrier bag of cooking apples. Does anyone have any ideas whT to do with them other than stewed apple please
  5. So glad you are home jazz, I wish I lived nearer so I could come round for a coffee and meet all your fur babies xx Alex I hope you find somewhere happy to work who value you xxxx Well I got mr fussy knickers to eat some scrambled egg last night (yay) out of the three boys he is the fussiest although I don't think I realised just how much till the last few days lol. Ashley is having a particularly bad day and has been crying since last night, it is hard to tell sometimes if it is pain or just that she is now deaf and can't hear her own voice, she is 14 next month and has turned into the most adorable batty old lady <3 <3 I access the refuge on my iPad but I can't use the smilies - does anybody have any idea why?
  6. Glad your OH is getting better and how exciting getting a new baby Loving the new car Jayne, I absolutely love cars and could drive forever, glad you are loving the new job too Griff Liam is the fussiest bugger ever and the only veg he will eat is potatoes and hates soup. He hasn't eaten since Tuesday and is feeling rough - I keep telling him if he eats he will feel better but he is scared it will hurt. Bloody kids lol. I am really trying to play down the pain etc as I know this is nothing to what the pain will be like after the main op. Stanley hasn't left his side and is being a very good nurse although he is v heavy and keeps squashing him !!
  7. Thanks for the tattoo info Griff xx I have a poorly teenager here. He has an undershot jaw which will be being operated on in the next year to bring it forward in alignment with his upper so yesterday he had the first procedure which was removing his lower wisdom teeth under GA, next stage is braces then op and more braces. He is feeling very sore and unable to eat at the mo and as he doesn't eat dairy I am struggling with what to feed him. Plus he is a fussy bugger lol, he can't afford to loose any weight as at 6ft 5 he only weighs 11 and a half stone
  8. Griff I'm thinking ahead and really like that idea of a tattoo, my baby Ashley isn't going anywhere soon ( me and Ashy have spoken about it!!) but is it easy to do and do you have to go to a specialist tattooist?
  9. Jazz I think of you every day and hope you are managing to cope also your new kitten sounds a ball of fun. Snow glad your eyes are better and yay for evening driving (need to visit again really soonxx). Owl, your new house sounds fab - not sure if you remember but we met many years ago at Denise and Glynns in Caerphilly? Alex to so need to clobber the roofer. Sam I am so proud to call you my friend (which I do very often) all my love to you and Mark.
  10. Decided against venting on here 'just in case' Have been reading but can't quite remember everyone at the moment - hope the car gets sorted to your satisfaction xx hope Timmy is ok xx happy year in home Alicia xx hope new house is good Phebe xx hope everyone is feeling as warm and fuzzy and happy as you are able today. I've just watched a Flying V of geese fly over it was rather cool. Today I am 50 and am really not very pleased about it hahaha
  11. Just wondering how secure this forum is ? I need to ask opinions on a personal matter and don't want anyone other than my friends on here to be able to see it. I need opinions as I only have my sons to ask and they are not impartial lol
  12. Sending love to Alex xxx
  13. I'm here Jazz (with no life lol). Spending my time tending to Ashley who is being a very wobbly patient, if my hand isn't on her she is crying I'm suffering agrophobia by proxy lol. Thank goodness that I have a balcony on the flat as there is no way she could manage the stairs. What are you up to today Jazz, how are the dogs? Did you get your TV set up ?
  14. My girl is is home !!!! They managed to remove the tumours but we're not able to remove any margins at all due to the lack of skin Her urine tests were fine so that is good. She isn't doing too well with a lot of sickness and diahorrea and crying all the time - but she is 13 and a half so all considering she is doing brilliantly. You can't believe just how thankful I am to have her home with me Thank you for everyone's support it really helped
  15. Really not good here at the moment, my soul baby Ashley who is now 13 and a half has had a reoccurrence of the mast cell tumour she had removed December 2014. It is very fast growing on her back leg just under her knee, there isn't enough skin to sew up after they remove it even without margins, her back end is very wobbly with her arthritis already so she won't cope with the leg being removed. She is going in for surgery tomorrow and I have the gut wrenching feeling that she won't be coming home. I am in bits and not coping at all I adopted Ashley at 5 weeks old after finally escaping 16 years of an extreme domestic violence marriage - she has been pivotal in my life and some days she has been the only thing that kept me going, she has been by my side for 13 years and is my sole confidante, she sleeps in my bed with me and never leaves my side. I'm so scared.
  16. Eww Alex you are one brave woman Jayne that place looks fab. Hope your parents manage to sort the dog out in the best way for everybody xx I'm sitting here in my bedroom listening to my son outside my door painting the hall for me - one tiny advantage of having a knackered shoulder
  17. Glad she got off safely in the end xx Where are you going on hols Jayne? Hope you have a fab time and recharge your batteries.
  18. Flipping heck Jazz! Will she stay with you now?
  19. Great Owl although quite sudden. Hope all goes well and that you get all the help you and Wispa need xxx
  20. Bora da Dydd Gwyl Dewi Hapus :) Sitting here watching the howling wind and rain from my window. I'm getting used to living in a flat and just love watching the view, it is so much nicer than the view of houses and concrete from my old terraced house. I have a horse chestnut tree right outside my lounge window and a sycamore right outside my bedroom window they are so lovely. I can actually lie in bed and watch the branches moving and hear the wind through the tree - bliss. Thank you Vale of Glamorgan council for giving me a home xx
  21. Had a trip to Newport today to the passport office to sort youngest son's passport. The new building is much nicer than the old one Hope foster is still doing well Jazz How is the upcoming house move going Owl?
  22. Glad to see Mica is settling in Jazz - do you have any idea how long you will have her with you? Had a good day yesterday, my youngest son had his first exam in college and passed with flying colours. He is so pleased, this is his first year in college and he is really enjoying it
