  1. I love my hubby very much!! We have been getting lots of birds visiting the garden to feast on the fat balls I put out on the tree. Had a Jay and a Woodpecker out there today. I mentioned that I would like to buy a bird table in the New Year................Steve is now in the process of making me one I will take photos when it is finished......and hopefully be able to put lots up of birds taking advantage of it. Like I said, I love my hubby
  2. I got a frozen turkey for 13 quid in Morrisons
  3. Me too!!!!!! Every year since the kids were born, we have watched it on Xmas morning whilst they open their presents (Darryl is nearly 17 now, and I will still insist on putting it on ;)) Did you watch it last night?
  4. Oh fudge!! Was just about to be smug and say it wasn't here (it wasn't when I let dogs out) but have just looked out of the window
  5. Sleep well Milly She may have left a huge hole in your heart Alex, but I am sure it is full of very special memories Run free beautiful MillyMerle, no more pain
  6. Really like it Cheryl, we are on Percival Road. It is a lovely area.
  7. Still no snow in Chester Have been reading all of my friends FB updates in Germany -14!!!!
  8. We were like that last year Clare. The field itself was fine, but to get to it we had to walk through a village and the roads were treacherous. Hope staying in isn't too stressful for Loki
  9. No snow in Chester Di, if you are scaring it away, make sure you keep it away from me too!!! My mum is here for Christmas with her toy chocolate poodle Rosie. It is the first time Sam and Tessa have met her. They are being very good with her, even though she growls at them every opportunity. It is quite funny watching her growl at Tessa.........she is deaf she couldn't care less!! Anyway, I am very proud of my two for not eating Rosie................yet.
  10. Yay, glad you have wheels Clare. Funny really that the person we bought our Ifor from had only used it for moving house and picking up feed and shavings as her horse wouldn't load!!!
  11. We have been told by a few of the liveries at the farm that the grass is very good and they all end up having to restrict.............lets hope that my updates next year will involve me saying that Pablo needs to go on a diet.
  12. Having seen Pablo today in the daylight he appears to have lost a bit of weight during the move Took ages to get some on him in the first place (last yard was quite stressy for him). Hopefully the calm tranquil surroundings will help him put back on again.
  13. Sorry I haven't managed to read all the RMFs that you have made since I left Germany..........anyway, we are now in our new house in Chester. The dogs were very good in the car during the very long journey (or at least Steve said they were, I was in the other car ). We left Germany at 11 am on Tuesday morning, and arrived here at 4 am Wednesday. Steve was in the Landrover with Lauren, dogs and horse trailer and I was alone in the Peugeot with loud music and tuneless singing along The horses were unfortunately not collected until Wednesday so a friend handed them to the transporter. They arrived at 11:30 tonight. It is such a relief to know they are here.
  14. Pablo and Welina have just arrived at the new yard We had to leave Germany before they got collected as the lorry was delayed. It has been a very nerve wracking few days but they are here now in Chester.
  15. Morning everyone. We have got the removals men coming in today. We are going into a hotel tonight (paid for by the army). Unless there is internet connection, you may not see much of me until we have internet in UK.
  16. In two weeks time, I will be unpacking boxes in my 10th house in 18 years!!! Oh the joys of being an army wife.
  17. not sure, they are just not really like our suet dumplings, I think they are bread based.......nice though
  18. Just had a very nice dinner of roast potatoes, german dumplings, red cabbage and apple and quorn sausages.........who needs pork anyway???
  19. I was really looking forward to my roast pork tonight........unfortunately Sammy Dog ate the joint whilst we were at the stables.
