  1. I've just got a girly fancy mouse, could I just one of those boys in the same cage with her? wouldnt they fight? she's not neutered btw
  2. greys mum, we have got a boult at the bottom of the gate too,and he did return to have another try but I already locked it at that point, and I kept telling him I'd ring the police and how dare he behave like that infront of my little one,at one point I actually started to count ,you know like at my kids lol,by the time I got to 2 and a half , he was down the road The police did ask me if I wanted to stay anonimous also when I have to go to court but I told them I wasn't scared of him at all and had no problem facing him,he's just like a spoiled little brad who has lost control of his girl-friend and now throuws all his toys out the pram but I don't think I'll be seeing him around here anymore My friend has spend a good week without him now and she has started to flourish (sp?) up,she got more colour on her face and seems much happier, her burn also seems to heal up well
  3. aww thanks girls, I know it sounds scary but the strange thing is,I wasn't scared at all,I was just really very cross (putting it nicely) I think it was my mother choock insinct that took over lol, eventho he is rather fit and strong,it didn't stop me for one single moment Jacobean, she did report it and they took pictures of her face too, that's why they rang me back for an official statement ,after that I too realised this guy is dangerous, thats why I went to the police the next day,I was very worried about my friend's safety ( and Wizz's)
  4. just the quick version as I just by accident deleted the long version basicly my friend was around my place with her dog Wizz, a dobermann x labrador, the most sweetest dog and my new buddie who she had for 10 yrs, we were having a cuppa in the garden when her ex-boyfriend turned up at my front door demanding to speak to her face to face over his upcoming courtcase, she told me she didnt want to she him (too scared) so I told him she'd ring his solicitor,he didnt take it very well but left, also I thought but when I got back my garden, I heard my dogs barking mad,and both Benjamin and my friend were not in my garden anymore but my gate was wide open when I went to see what was all the comotion outside my gate,I found her struggeling to get her dog back of the b*****rd who had unboulted my gate to grab him out of my garden and had a tight hold of his collar,so I jumped in and managed to get him loose and send my friend back up the few steps to my gate including trying to get Benjamin and my own dogs in,he then reached passed me to grab hold of her by her coat at her neck to try and pull her of the steps but again I managed to free her but then he chucked a burning sigaret at her face which left a nasty burnmark, but after repeadly warning him to call the police he finally left, leaving us all shaken and me very very p****d off ,he endangered not only MY dogs life but also Benjamins, the gate is boulted for that reason, anyway next day I went to police for an unofficial report ,he was well known by our local officers, suprise suprise, and after he trashed their appartment my friend also went to police so I had to come back and make an official statement which might go to court and I mihgt have to turn up as a witness but Im not worried lol, don't mess with me or my kids, dogs or my friends ,human or k9, Im a lots tougher then I look
  5. I just submitted 2 questions, 1. are you going to stop inbreeding to be allowed and 2. are going to stop dogs with inheritable disseases to breed? let's see waht they got to say ,shall we? not that I got much confidence, even if they would say yes
  6. the second part might be even more interesting Martin Clunes to explore dangers of breeding
  7. oooh I think the second part of Martin Clunes' doggumentary might be very intersting! Martin Clunes to explore dangers of breeding
  8. my friend from Holland (the one with the twin-girls born on same day as my Benjamin) ,her dad passed away a few months ago ,on his terms .When he was diagnosed with cancer that had spread everywhere ,he had spoken with his family and agreed that when the time came,he would decide to go the peacefull way.I was even asked to be a witness for legal reasons (as it is legal in Holland) but I was affraid that this would somehow stand between me and my friend so I kindly declined, otherwise I would have 'gladly' signed Her dad was really suffering a lot of pain towards the end to a point where even morfine didnt help anymore ,he then still had to wait 3 days before he was allowed to go safely on his journey to peace my friend and her family found it a very gentle experience, where they all had time to say goodbye and knew their dad/husband was going to be at peace ,an experience they all can have peace with
  9. another ps about the Kennel Club, they have been around for over 150 years and in that little world of where it isn't important of WHAT you know but WHO you know ,money and ego are playing a massive big part, they are deffinetly not gonna change a lot anytime soon
  10. and like said there are other countries who can do it the right way and the changes needed would NEVER be allowed by the KC, but I just posted this on the PetOwnersParlement site, maybe it makes a bit more sence to what I'm trying to say ''what I'm thinking of,a clean slate with healthy dogs, even mongrels to add new blood to the genepool, after all if you take the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, this is a cross between the King Charles Spaniel and dome-skulled breeds from Asian descent, like the Pug and the Japanese Chi I know of one breed that was brought back from near extintion this way and with succes ,it happens to be a rare Dutch (my home-country) breed so most of you won't have heard from it , het Markiesje ,it is a Dutch site but if you want to know what they look like, have a look here http://www.markiesjesvereniging.nl/ now to make sure that I know that I've got my facts right,I read their rules and it clearly says in there (in the very first bit of it too) that the health and passing this health on to pups is the biggest priority of the club, and I know that in different countries the same idea about breeding and health is most important so what is stopping the Kennel Club from following? ofcourse, money and greed Sad this would be for me another good reason for starting a new way of registration,a new group/club, elimenating profits would (IMHO) also elimenate a lot of the problems that the KC has/has started '' hope that helps a bit? I know you don't but please dont take this all personal,I am just seriously trying all corners and want to hear all pro's and con's Vivian -xxx-
  11. I agree only partly with that bit, what about the profit bit that the KC make? if you elimenate profit, you then also elimenate a lot of the probs that the KC now have/have started ,I mean, a £20 million pound HQ?!?! and how many dogs have had/are suffering for that?!
  12. but I find it hard to stand on the sidelines and not being able to do something ,I don't think it should be just one person tho,it should be a group of good breeders ,vets (like the one in the blog) and scientists who really have health not beauty in mind and after the programme and from what I've read so far online on different sites,a whole lot of people would be up for it, I mean what alternative do we have? and waiting for the Kennel Club? it might be too late for some breeds if we do ,like the Cavalier all over the net ,from UK to USA to Australia, I read how people do not trust /not want to be part of/not go to any event of the Kennel Club anymore, and that's not counting the ones who already say NO!! to the KC ,surely if we get together it must be possible?
  13. it got me thinking, could we/somebody not start an independant dog breed registration group? as an alternative to the Kennel Club? ofcourse non-profit or all profits going to good dog causes does anybody here think it would be possible?
  14. an intersting blog by a vet who also saw the programme... vet-blog
  15. awww his face though after that cuddle with that female wolf happy like a lickle boy ,the wolfs are amazing btw
  16. shame he couldnt watch Dog Breeders Exposed before making this program, wonder if it would have been different...

  20. anybody on here good at setting up a petition? I know the NR10 Downingstreet one,but this one is closed until the return of our PM,the first of september , but in the time being ,maybe one on this site? http://www.ipetitions.com/start-petition/ my english isnt too bad ,but for something official like this,I'd rather leave it to a more 'experienced' person sorry ,I forgot to please and thank you ,it's just I can't sleep now ,my head cant comprehend it
  21. LazyDaisy , I had the same feeling looking at my little Paps they too suffer from the fact that their lickle skull is too small to hold their parts in the right places (if this makes sence) and I just cant get that pciture of that screaming Cav out of my head either MONEY! MONEY! MONEY!!
  22. I too watched this program tonight and am absolutly shocked and horrified over what I seen :mecry: I mean ofcourse I already knew mongrowls are much healthier then 'full (in)breeds' , but to see the actuall figures is just absolutly gobsmacking , and then to think they spoke most of damage in money wise and the breed in general, imagine all the poor dogs who suffer/ed and the ones not even allowed to live because of having the wrong colour? not to metion all that heartpain soooooo many families ( inc children) have/had to go through I totally agree that if the KC would use that stick, people would have no other choice , KC is the biggest breed club/organasation and recognized world wide, sure they'll wanna keep up this rep? I couldnt help but laugh at the stoopid moo who referred to the bestest Ridgebacks in Africa who caught leopards also have a ridge on their back and was then very silly asked 'and how many leopards are there in Britain?' that was brilliant and shut her gob the Cavs just made cry, specially the one who was screaming in pain, they are just the sweetest softest lovelable pets there are and what do people do in return? ... I also will not be visiting Cruffts anymore until they get their stick out !!!
  23. I would be able to foster one or more for ya if that's any help? Vivian
