  1. Very RMF. I am toooooooooooooooooo tired. Hurties and tiredness are making me feel 'unwell'.
  2. I am very behind on RMFs - Wiccaweys Show organising is taking lots of spare time. Random memories of comments I wanted to make. Owly-One Iridescent Green Insect Snow - tried your Chicken Chasseur recipe - it was brilliant - even if Mr B could only manage a "better than Works Canteen" comment - but the plate was clean and I've been told to keep the receipe. HLGS. Congratulations on achieving front page on World Rabies Day. And you really ought to start new threads when you want stuff - you deserve as much support as you can get. I thought I had lots more RMFs - obviously not! I have Dogstar Cake to make for tomorrow.
  3. I think I know what it is Snow. Go for mind over rudeness. You are a first class citizen. Oh, and as a 'larger lady' myself, I'd sooner go for a mammogram than a smear any day. So there! RMF It appears that one of customers things I can read Chinese. Literally. As he's put in his e-mail, please see comments attached, and all I can see on the page is Chinese character thingys. As it's not my project, and I therefore have no 'relationship' with him, I am waiting for someone who has to come to see me (3.5 hours and still waiting) so that they can be polite to him and ask him to comment in some language I can connect with. Roll on 3.30 pm when I'm out of here!
  4. And there was me thinking you were an infallible recogniser of anything outside my back door. I turned my dippy sponge cake upside down and inside out and it looks extremely presentable. All packed up in its tin ready to go. The only thing I'm slightly worried about now is that the prospective purchaser is know for cycling too and from work on a rather wonky bike, and, in any case, has an 'individual' cycling style. And that's how my cake will be travelling before consumption. Happy Birthday Tobleronie. Today I am in the office all on my own - well, not actually on my own as in there's around 1,500 other people around, but all on my own in my Department - which means the other 1,499 are all going to telephone me and send me e-mails I guess. Apart from the ones who are on holiday - which probably means our overseas colleagues will make up for that. Physio at 4.00 pm - which is great because it will force me to leave the office at 3.30 pm (which is supposedly my Friday finish time - not that you'd know it!)
  5. I am not here. I am 'rescuing' a lime sponge cake which has dipped. My sponges never dip and this one is "sold" for Dogstar, so I'm having a very big little crisis. Many congratulations on reaching your target Sam - and for setting a new one - which is great 'cause I've nearly sold out of chocolate and chilli cake. So I have some pennies to add up at the weekend. Sorry to hear about Cliffy. Try not to upset yourself Nige. These things happen - and we all know it wasn't deliberate! Glad to hear your Drs helping you Alicia. Erm. Snow, I am waiting for you to start throwing all your contributors out of the cot they didn't know they were in! Oh yes, Owly one, do you know what an irridescent (sp?) green coloured flying insect - looked like a house fly but a little slimmer - but so shiny - would be? Well done Cycas. Hello Mog. Naughty Merledog cat! My memory's had it with trying to recall RMFs now. Going to bite the bullet and think how to rescue my sponge cake!
  6. Actually I think you back up the Wiki explanation brilliantly. I think I kind of understand. Certainly more than I did this time last week.
  7. Just lost my post. Again! Merledogs - lovely pictures. HLGS - sounds as if you are having way too much fun. Still far too many things on my work to do list. All projects are extremely active at the moment too - something is going to drop. Badly. Trying to help organise the Wiccaweys Show from my PC - I'm back to pinging again (!) - e-mails, PMs and posts. Spent ages last night updating a post listing things last night - and discovered this morning that all bar my last comment had disappeared. I was a Grumpy Mrs B! Thing is, as fast as I send messages out, people will go and reply to them! Must, must, must have a long hot bath tonight.
  8. I may be about to go and watch the Big Bake Off (or whatever it's called) on BBC2.
  9. Jazz. Thinking "stay in tummy" thoughts. Mommy Bear - I think some WIs are supposed to be really good - some even have Committee Members nearer school age than retirement. Never been to one - not least 'cause my nearest seems more intent on seeing how many things they can put in a match box than discussing relevant issues of the day! All this Twittering and Tweeting is beginning to bug me now. I have done more homework and can tell you - I can be MrsB_K9 MrsBcakelady (that's clever lil_angel!) mrsb_1 THEoriginalMrsB (but I'm not THAT brave about myself I don't think) PilchardCake Nutty_Bird but I can't be OriginalMrsB (taken) theoneandonlymrsb (too long - and theoneandonlymr is taken ) the_infamous_mrsb (too long, and very forward for me!) NuttyBird ChocolateChilli or Dave I might have to go seek help with this!
  10. I have just peered at Twitter. I 'nearly' signed up to have a better look - however having worked through every permutation of Mrs B I can think of (so at least someone would know who I was) I kind of gave up to have a think what name I would be happy to hide behind. The only Mrs B available seemed to be MrsB_K9 - is that too sad? Think I would like to follow Dogstar as the tweets always look interesting on the few occasions I manage to get on their site. Jazz that really sounds not nice. Hope you are feeling OK. Suzeanna, will be thinking of you this afternoon. Sorry, forgotten the rest - spent another morning fighting fires and trying to refrain from telling people to let me get on with my Heinz57 List as it's threatening to become a 76 Trombones List at the moment. And I brought my breakfast cereal to work with me this morning! I am having a bit of a crisis at the moment as the only cake I seem to have sold so far this week is my chilli cake - and I was sure everyone would skirt around it.
  11. I am very embarrassed that both FaceBook and Twitter are a foreign land to me. I really do need to learn. Perhaps less time with my head in recipe books and more time in the 'real' world is what is needed. Had nice meal with friends, all of whom own dogs (!) and now am technically making sandwiches and finishing the washing up. Not. Today at work turned into a real firefight - actually the firefight would have been better as it would have devoured most of my work. My "To Do List" reached the dizzy heights of Heinz 57 before I decided to stop thinking what I needed "To Do". My boss is back tomorrow, and I fear she may have to be very, very careful as to what questions she asks about work she expects to have been completed. I am not feeling at all sanguine about the situation!
  12. Sorry Sam. "Cold chain" I do like to keep learning but fear I'm being a bit stupid here.
  13. Is this on DogLost? I only had chance for a quick look, but couldn't see him.
  14. Currently. Horse. Dead. Flogging. On another Forum. Jazz, hope you are OK ....... ? Work is out of control. As there's only me in the office this just makes it worse. This is called lunch. Hot? Who has sun? It's very so-so here. Erm. Trallwn Farm. Great idea on the cake front. Will definitely try something out on you later. Sold three actual pieces of chocolate and chilli cake - it needs 1.5 to 2 chillis rather than 1, it has been decided! Enjoy your holiday in Cornwall Sam (and Mark? ) I have mixed memories of Cornwall involving spending two weeks driving too and from Redruth trying to get our campervan fridge fixed. You can safely say that we 'did' all the sights of Redruth - and wouldn't recommend either the industrial estates or the supermarket car parks. We loved the Lizard though. Tea. I need tea. May need something to go with it.
  15. Snow, that recipe looks very yummy - and not too many ingredients either - I always pale when there's 99 ingredients for anything! Might try that later in the week. I have just tried a piece of chocolate and chilli cake - I just used one chilli (it said 1-3) which just gave it an edge. However I can't decide whether I think the cake a bit dry, or not. I need some testers! You could taste the calories mind - 450g chocolate and 150ml of double cream sees to that. So I now have Butterfly Cup Cakes, Victoria Sandwich with Strawberry Jame and Buttercream, Lemony Lemon Cake (my own version of lemon drizzle) and the Chocolate Chilli Cake to lug carry into work tomorrow to see if I can do a little better than last week on the fundraising for the Dogstar microscope.
  16. It is fantastic to hear what you are doing for World Rabies Day - what a fabulous effort. I'm going to print this information off and put it up with the rest of the bits and pieces I have by my fundraising table for you this month.
  17. Max Can't get over the sausage picture. CT, sorry about the car - hope the one tomorrow night is a good'un. There was a rather enormous bone in the freezer which I've been skirting around as I knew I couldn't break it. Owing to lack of alternatives, Tigger had it this morning. Three hours solid chomping later, there wasn't much left, but he then unfortunately decided to 'bury' it, and go to sleep alongside it to guard it. Thought he'd grown out of that. On waking, he then started chewing Daisy's bone! Me-thinks Tigger will not be having much dinner tonight. Chocolate chilli cake is in the oven. I am somewhat concerned as all the comments go on about the timing being all wrong, and the cake being dry and stuff - in amongst the one's that say it's wonderful! Also making it in two tins (rather than cutting it in half when it's cooked) ready to sandwich with an icing made from chocolate and double cream. Most importantly, I think my tea's drawn, so I'm off for a sup.
  18. I reckon I can recognise my two. Mind you, Daisy does have a particularly distinctive/unusual bark, so I'm not sure she's a fair test! One thing that particularly intrigued me was when Daisy did some 'work' for an undergraduate's animal behaviour dissertation a few weeks ago, and during the session, she barked a couple of times - and the student said she was going to ask one of her tutors to interpret it for her. I'm seeing her dissertation supervisor tomorrow night, so I really must ask what that's all about.
  19. Morning. My washing machine is saying "F18" to me. I am in no doubt that doesn't mean anything happy. Grey here, but no rain, so Tigger and Daisy have been out, quick, before it does. Need a 'to do list' for today. Think hurty shoulder is just going to have to be ignored a bit, 'cause there's some jobs here that can't be. Michelle, have a Mrs B isn't ever so good at doing as she's commanded.
  20. I knew there was a reason why I was here. I have caught your nedache by the way - something else that's been passed down the 'puter wires it seems. Looking forward to a day in the office with my colleague who's on his last day before holiday - and then I'm in the office all on my own on Monday as everyone else is away - so I'll be picking up all the new jobs today - although in fairness my colleague is a grafter, so it's not a case of slopey shoulders. Also facing up to the fact that I will HAVE to go to the supermarket tonight, which my shoulder doesn't want to do - but the alternative of on-line shopping my shoulder also doesn't want to do so I'm going to grit my teeth and just get on with it. Off to see if a critical e-mail has arrived!
  21. Flapping in and out all in a rush again. Thank you to whoever it was who explained all about my Indian vultures - that was exactly what I was rambling on about - they are also breeding vultures in a conservation place in Ireland to take back to India to replace the ones that have been eating my medication - and have supposedly stopped using my hurty shoulder medication (that does me no good) on cattle in India to prevent this happening again. Irish conservation place also had a flying vulture demo. I think there was something on the radio or TV about this recently-ish (this year?) too. India not Ireland! Apologies to all Fugees who thought I was just being nuttier than usual! My workstation assessment was a flop ........ in that she said it was the first time she had ever NOT been able to suggest one single thing to improve my situation or tell me I was doing anything wrong. Physio-man tomorrow! Sam, we need more peeps to donate £2 to the Microscope Fund. I'm going to try persuading people to buy chocolate and chilli cake from me next week ..........
  22. I love it. I am cruel and hope not so that they see your commitment to your work. Snow, that railway wedding sounds very exciting. Keeping all things crossed that it is cheap-cheap. I am not here. I need to be thinking going to work early thoughts as my "To Do List" actually exists at the moment, and appears to be growing like Topsy rather than actually making me feel in control of everything that is my workload. See you later.
  23. Sam, you are welcome to the cake money for the Dogstar fundraising appeal - can't guarantee I will do as well for the rest of the month, but I'll do my best. Do you think you could loan me hook-a-duck-Mark to come around and hook-a-cake-customer so that my sales are boosted please? Especially as my office cleaner(s) have done the dirty on me and gone on a (pot noodle) diet. Pinging posts occurs when you have mass motivational, spurring on of activity stuff to do, and you fire off loads of posts in different threads to bump them all to the top of the tree, and remind folks that "THINGS ARE HAPPENING" without necessarily giving the posts the complete consideration and thoughtful thinking process that you normally do. Well, at least that's my definition of pinging posts anyway. Does this put me in the pinging loony section? Then I have to go back to check that folks have actually noticed that you are pinging and hopefully respond to all their carefully considered responses! After all, if people do spring on me yesterday that an event is taking place three weeks on Sunday ..........
  24. Do you think we need to start a thread for hurty shoulder Fugees? I think there's some hurty shoulder bug being passed down the wires 'cause there's lots of them around. Please can you also pass some of the Naproxen stuff down the computer wire in this house too. I only have the stuff which is no good for vultures, and it appears to be no good for hurty shoulders in this house too. I have just pinged about half a dozen posts on another Forum and have now had it. Sometimes these things just have to be done. Bit like work really. to all hurty Fugees in mind and body. Exciting risk assessment at work tomorrow for hurty shoulder. Then physio on Friday. I'm being very boring. I need to go read posts more carefully.
