  1. This is now sorted thanks to 2 wonderful people
  2. Have put up a transport request I know some of you volunteered before, can you look at the journey and day and let me know on that thread or Pm if you can help Thanks XXX MWAHXX
  3. Righto, as you can see the day of the week is now Tuesday we need to pick her up in the morning, Michaela, LRRSE are phoning the kennels to sort out transfer of ownership to LRRSE and also to get as much info re medical conditon etc. Did you say you have someone to pay the release fee? Can you confirm I have a wonderful couple who will drive from Rugby to her foster space in Devon saves her stress so I need someone who can do the following Springfield Kennels, Wakefield, Ossett to Rugby Now I can split the journey into 2 chunks but prefer not too. I know a number of you volunteered for the weekend, but is there anyone that can do TUESDAY
  4. Thanks Ian I am just waiting for doggylover to get back to me with a few details. It looks like a few volunteers can get from Leeds to Leicester Services or Worcester So I will need anyone that can do Leicester Services down South/Southwest I am also checking that our foster home is still OK
  5. Having read through the website it looks like they apparently train the dogs she takes in as service dog, but the website is not very clear as to who she supplies too and how she trains, I would be very wary.
  6. I don't have permissions to post on Transport needed bit. What I need is a list of names and contact number and what part of the motorway network you can cover and times, I can then put it all together and work out best times and routes etc, does that make sense? I also have volunteers from Lab Forums coming forward too, so we should be able to cover it with some of them too. Michaela, can you co ordinate the Pound and let me know what time we can start pick up from and address of Pound too, if you are happy to start the journey off that's great news too but I do have a volunteer/s willing to start us off as well:)
  7. Just had a text from doggy lover, the old girl has been sent to local council pound kennels. she has until Saturday, LRRSE will offer her a rescue space and I have a fosterer for her but its down in Devon. Any volunteers willing to get this old girl from Leeds to Devon please
  8. Can I just clarify that it is LRRSE that has offered a possible space
  9. OK, Lab Forums Lab Link Rescue have the means and rescources to help this dog, but we need to know more so I can put wheels in motion
  10. I have Pm'd doggy lover with my number, can I have an update tomorow as I have contacted a few Lab rescues to see if a space can be secured.
  11. Angie I have picked this up on LF, I can help with this tomorrow if you want me to, there is a small rescue in Warrington that may take her and I think more than likely that Lab Rescue Southern England may very well help. Can you call me and let me know what's happening.
  12. The thing is this Black and Tan boy he comes from the same litter as the pure Black, the breeder is a Lab breeder who knows the sire of the littter who is also a pure Labrador, otherwise I would have said the same thing, also the other examples have ahd DNA tests proving that the Dam and Sire were Labs
  13. I found a website that shows that Labradors can be mismarked, that is can come in Black and Tan, Piebald, Spotted, Dotted and other combos, they all come from pairs of full Labradors, but somewhere in the Genes it throws out an off colouration. Now I wonder how many of you would think that the dog below was a Lab crossed with a Rottie? http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff121/j...Kane1211074.jpg This is the offspring from 2 full pedigree Labrador Retrievers. http://i236.photobucket.com/albums/ff121/j...et/DSCF0014.jpg This is his litter brother There are also other examples on other websites http://www.blueknightlabs.com/mismarks/ Absolutely fascinating
  14. I can only echo the thougts of everyone else here and wish Berni a speedy recovery and hope that Karma is dealt to those that did this. XXXX
  15. Hooch is the dog we were looking for and it was down to the last day almost then LRRSE found a space for him Harriet is going to assess some of the dogs, we are still looking for a rescue space for the Akita/Mastiff x and the Dalmation
  16. I am pleased to say that since putting this post up Rusty, the Dobie and Vigil have also been offered rescue spaces
  17. Thank you to everyone who has crossposted, or emailed with support, I am pleased to sday that after a week of phoning, beseaching and general 'pain in the bum' behaviour Lab Rescue Southern England have offered a space for Hooch. However, just like the 100's of pounds across the UK, Chester is looking for more rescue spaces for some of the other residents. The good thing to come out of it is that one on my fellow Lab Forum members is going to work with Chester's Dog Warden to get these dogs assessed for rescue and rehoming through Barra Kennels which is where the problem lay, these dogs were just oberlooked by being lost in the system. 18. Thanks, I couldn't believe it was only up the road, its past of the same Parish we live in, and the water is like a Mill pond and clear. The sunset was breathtaking, and after living in the London suburbs all my life with visits to the countryside, I am still overawed by some of the amazing sights and sounds even 6 months on If anyone fancies a visit and a dog walk the kettles always on.
  19. We moved to the area about 6 months ago and so we have been discovering new walks and fun things to do with the dogs, so last Sunday we took them and us to Point Clear whihc is about 10 mins from us. Wow!! The Sun was just setting Sheer exhuberance Maia tests the water
  20. I sent mine to you Angela, LF is down at the moment so don't know if anyone else there will see it
  21. Thank you for all your hardwork for all those dogs you helped and good luck to you in the future
