  1. political correctness has gone mad! Our local member of parliment has been sacked cos he pointed out that people were called black b**t*rds in the army. having been a colnel for many years, he probably has a good understanding of how the army works. he did also say that like school children all 'differences' are used to degrade the soldiers. ginger hair, freckles etc. now i know people are gonna point out that a freckle face isnt the same as being punished for your colour, and thats why i'm finally gonna point out, that he was just saying how it is in the army. he didnt say he agreed with it or that it was his opinion. thats just what happened. and he was fired. your no longer allowed to point out that you know of racism without being tarred with the same brush. the world has gone crazy. well actually no, its prob just the brits!

    Scurfy Skin

you could maybe try some t-gel. its for itchy flakey scalps on humans, contains ingrediants to cool and take away any itching there may be.
  3. i was quite disappointed by the chosen winner. very predictable i thought. liked the 'take it all in my stride' approach of the blood hound. what do you think?
  4. Hope the Blood Hound can win cos i think he's full of character!

    Walk Pics

if i could just find a man with such a healthy shinny coat..... oh hum and a tongue like that
  6. I think its very easy for a parent to believe shes giving her child the best when really they're not. i'm not talking bout the obvious junk foods, i'm talking bout carbohydrates that turn to sugar such as bread, potatoes and pasta. all things you believe to be good for you child, but in actual fact slow motabolism down in a less than active child. obviously the times in which hes fed do need to be considered. bananas shouldnt be given just before bed, but it is still a fruit!

  8. if shes food orientated but not really toy orientated when shes out (cos of the easy distraction), buy her a toy that has treats inside. keep it indoors for a while so she learns what its for, but then try using that outside. she probably wont bring it back, but you may have more success with her chasing it! just an idea...
  9. dont see why you cant try the Victoria Stillwell way Raiye? when shes looking at you but barking, keep a treat in your hand then do the flat line waving thing when she goes quiet and give her the treat. Hopefully Mitzi will learn that the signal means silence and she'll wait for the treat or good girl flashes. really dont know what you can do when shes outside tho! shes in a world of her own then!!!

    Coccidia

i've come across coccidia. i actually heard it was life threatening in small or young pets? its a parasite which attacks the small intestine and reproduces quite quickly. dogs can pick it up from pratically anywhere by lickin their own coats. there is no treatment, but my friend was advised to do all she could to keep the dog's immune system working with vitamin supplements and salts in water. the dog fought through it and was fine. how is your little chappy now?

    Muscle Rub

Does anyone know of a deep heat for dogs? My Gypsy doesnt realise shes getting on in years and goes after a ball as if she were still a pup. She manages to keep up, but boy does she suffer for it later! The muscles on the inside of her back legs right near her tail become as hard as rocks and she finds it hard to walk or get comfortable. I gave her a hot shower down once with a small massage and that seemed to help, but i cant bath her everytime she goes for a walk, so i would really like to find something like our version of deep heat to massage in. i'm sure our deep heat would be too strong to use and nasty if she licked it off! Any ideas anyone please?
  12. with both articles being dated 2005, has anything changed in the law now to prevent such a hypothetical situation becomeing reality? its proven that people's shock and acceptance of situations such as this become more relaxed over time. would be interesting to know if and how opinions have altered over 2 years.....
