  1. But, between now and the new True Blood, there's this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FAZzCFPcLoo From the A Song of Ice and Fire books, excellent books which I've read and re-read over and over
  2. No more True Blood til next year .
  3. Happy Birthday Mags, hope you have a great day
  4. Oh dear, I can see how sticky willy seed could be misconstrued as something entirely different ...i was referring to Goose Grass, it's supposed to be good for cancer too.
  5. Permission to come round your house and slap him with a bag of cold dog diarrhoea please .
  6. Mine go nuts for Sticky Willy seeds ( Esme will pick them out of Ben's coat ) and Himalayan Balsam seeds, which although a bloody pest is really useful to bees.
  7. Never is the answer, my friend who has Spuds' brother Ted, allows him to" guard" her new grandchild !, she just didn't get why I was having a rant at her, Ted was stressed to hell, I very much doubt he was guarding the baby at all, he just didn't know what else to do, and she like's to think of herself as knowing a lot about dogs !..arse. , I pointed out to her that a lot of the kids bitten by dogs belonged to gran's and had their grandchildren visiting, does she think any of them ever thought they would get bitten ! of course not, she won't listen, she's an expert. Hope Martyn's feeling better soon
  8. Whatever he's paying you, it's not enough !
  9. Happy Birthday gorjuss hope you get lots of sausages today.
  10. Glad it's not just me thats s*** at measuring, just ask Mel what size that muzzle was
  11. Not your fault at all, don't waste any time or energy worrying about someone else's stupidity Well as long as you don't pee the floor I had a good day today, the man came to measure up for a new front door, has to be made up as I want it to be the original width which is hoooge. Re-found a walk I haven't used in yonks which is very close to us but not used much by others so have somewhere else to walk the dogs in the afternoon apart from the field, and I saved a lamb . We were walking along the fence line and although there weren't any sheep close by there was a very strong smell of sheepiness, when I had a closer look there was a lamb with it's head very firmly stuck through that square wire fencing you get, it would pull franticly for a bit then sink back down exhausted, I tied Ben up further along the fence and managed to push the lamb's head back through. It must have been there for a while, it had eaten all the grass within reach and there were piles of poop and a big scuffed up bit of ground where it had been struggling. Poor thing was a bit stiff on it's front legs as it had had to kneel at the fence but it was fine after a few steps.
  12. Oh well, thats one thing in Ed's favour, he always put's the bog seat down ...and he can't stick football, and he lets me spend as much money on whatever I want, and he'd let me fill the house with animals if I wanted, so he does have his uses
  13. Dogs don't moan and whine about every single little thing, they don't leave dirty dishes in the sink when you've just done them, they don't come home in a hump and take it out on you, they don't agree to do something then turn round and say " I can't be bothered" they don't make you sit in the company of their tedious family, they don't smoke and stink the place out, they don't sit on furniture in their manky work clothes, they don't have a shower and not clean it afterwards, they don't look in the freezer and moan that there's nothing to eat when in fact it's full of food and they're just too lazy to make something, they don't leave clothes in the washing machine........I could go on but I'd be here all day . I agree, men are far too much bother, if my currant relationship ever finishes I'd stay single.
  14. I'm gobsmacked nobody died !, I did think at one point when Stacy and Whatshisface were sprawled on the road that they were going to be run over by the fire engine .
  15. SAAAAAAM ! look, he has a charity set up to help places just like yours, and you can register for help here
  16. I wonder how you get in touch , he seems to go to the most out of the way places which have little or no vet services, he's very resourceful . Think I'll have a look.
  17. I would have thought the vet would get it for you , mine does, the law ( in Scotland anyway) is that human med's can be prescribed for animals as long as there's no animal specific alternative, in which case the vet is obliged by law to prescribe the animal version. Oh yes yes yes, I have been and very tasty it was too, but I didn't have chicken wings either. I thought that said fcuk OWL ! ...poor Owl Anybody else been watching Adventure Vet ? isn't he great , wonder if he'll ever show up at Dogstar , last night he was in Nepal where he treated a TM and what looked like a TM cross, which made me realise how spoilt Ben is .
  18. Have a great day and very happy birthday
  19. Have you had a look at Neo paws ? you can buy gel insoles for them too for extra padding. Which might do for Laney as well, they are impregnated with silver.
  20. Will do, if you did go I can recommend a B&B run by big sis ( Ailsa's Mum)
  21. The world is not my home I'm just passing through.

  22. I feel rather narked in the extreme that we're having to pay for the Pope's holibob . How rich is the Catholic church, they can pay for him themselves !
