  1. Evening not caught up had a lovely quiet day just chilling Hope everyone is ok
  2. Evening Had an ok day out with friends, I was driving so OH had a few beers etc. Tiks :GroupHug: Nice to see you Michelle! RM RANT: I have seen a lovely dress on the Thomas Pink website in their sale. If I lived in the UK and was having it shipped to the UK it would be £59 which is €75 On the international site for Ireland it is €175! How the flip can they justify charging €100 extra ???
  3. Am back from the vets, foster Pepper cat had to have her vax before going to her new home Am off out soon to visit friends who have had a baby, other friends who have twins will also be there. Mia and Joseph, please come home..............
  4. Jeez, some user has just rung me up at half nine cos they are doing a stocktake and they don't have some service or another available and can I fix it!!!!!!!!!! No I can't, we don't even work on Saturdays supporting her division.
  5. I'm awake for those. Let us not forget that after visiting a petshop that had those mini sharks and rabbtis for sale, I woke OH up in the middle of the night screaming about how the midget sharks had escaped and were murdering the rabbits.......................... and how he had to go and rescue the rabbits from the tiny sharks God forbid I ever be hypotnised, goodness knows what would come out Bruno convo tonight: Me: "Bru, we got the fans" Bru: "They are great, how much did you get in vouchers?" Me: "€6" Bru: "So how much oxtail is that for me?" Me: "Three big pieces for you?" Bru: "And my pork pie????" Me: "Yep a pork pie just for you" Bru: "Tail thump, kiss, smile" Me: Glad you are happy Bru" Bru: Let me get back to you, I'm undertaking fan testing.........................."
  6. Aside from my chats with Bruno (I've another of those), I've a another facet to divulge. I talk in my sleep, constantly and I tend to dream away my stress. Anyway last week OH came to bed, and as he got into bed, apparently I demanded to know where the reports were. He replied: "What reports?" I said "The reports I asked you to generate for x division, are they ready?" Last night he came down a couple of hours after I'd gone to bed. He got into bed. NOTE: The following convo was whilst I was asleep. I said "There is a pig flying in on Monday" He said "What pig?" I said: "The pig with the red beetle" He said: "Insect or Volkswagen?" I said: "Volkswagen" He said:"What's he got the Beetle for?" I said: "Shhhhh go back to sleep, I'm too tired" Now I can't stand VW Beetles etc.............. Just thought I would share.............
  7. The creature I am thinking of is the one who went into the house wearing half nothing, boobs hanging out, bad bra (double boob syndrome), lots of cellulite on show and screeched a lot, I remember being amazed that it's trip down the stairs didn't flash underwear??? It screeched incessantly all the flippin time, and the clothes were truly foul. I suspect it was the Bec creature, none of the others on opening night were quite as horrifying.
  8. Was she that appalling screeching creature who wore ill fitting and undersized clothes? Black hair?
  9. I don't watch it but I'm fascinated now. Who got booted then?
  10. Owl and Tiks I am so bloomin annoyed with work, I've been waiting 7 months (yes you read that right) for an office, whilst all around me offices lie empty. Apparently the facilities manager has finally found me an office, but he was too busy today to tell me where it was and is off on holidays now for 10 days. I'm seriously seriously seriously fecked off, I'm sick of having to take phone calls outside as I can't speak freely in front of my team, sick of having to cart sensitive documents around with me or lock them away as I can't leave them on my desk GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR and, it looks like a possible management do was on this evening, to which I was not invited. If it was I will not be pleased, this is not the first time this happened. Last time it happened I spent about two weeks being asked by other managers why I wasn't at the relevant event That aside I am a happy child, my teeth feel good, and on Monday after 8 trips to the dentist, two trips to the hygienist, two root canals, two temp fillings, 7 normal fillings and £3500 later, I will have teeth that are not in a state of disrepair and will be on track to get my braces If you'd told me in January that I'd have actually gone through with the treatment I'd have shuddered, today in the dentist I was half asleep whilst he worked away I know it's not much of an achievement, but to me it's a pretty big deal And I have a new application to play with this weekend :) For all fugees feeling poorly
  11. Am back at work after the dentist, I had to have three fillings not two, and the dentist kept sticking his finger in my nostril whilst shoving my head against his chest, and making my nostril tickle I'm drooling out the numb side of my mouth
  12. It's treat enough to see him so thrilled at his contribution! And added to that is that we are at last seeing eye to eye and have agreed a bit of an action plan in terms of what we both want for this year, worth more than any physical treat imo I'd rather we got on a really solid footing to allow us both move forward than have a (imo) *frivolous* treat if that makes sense?
  13. Hmm just got my payslip It's bonus month here I have just paid over *vomit* a hideous amount in tax
  14. RMF: I am thrilled that after a very very long time, tonight my OH has been paid (he earned it) a decent amount of money and is really contributing to our costs/expenses, I just now need to adjust my attitude to him and put some effort into our relationship. Also have been thinking about work, they have a weird culture where all networking seems to be done via "lunching" with other people, today at lunchtime I met my boss and his boss about to go to lunch together, filled them both in on good news, walked them out and off they toddled for lunch. Am going to be brave and suggest boss and myself lunch together once a month (this will take a few days for the right moment)it's part of a bigger (and essentially critical of boss issue) so have to choose the moment.) Am also hoping to ring a mate in another (supplier) company tomorrow and give them a leg up ref their work by establishing a relationship with their company (big big company in IT) if boss agrees. That aside on a personal level, am off this weekend to a party for my dad, brother, brother, and nephew who all share a birthday month, met my sister in Tesco this evening, it promises to be a fun evening, am really looking forward to it. My dad is having tests at the moment, after his twelve weeks in hospital last year with his colonostomy going wrong, he's still not right and they are not sure he will ever be well enough to reverse it :( he looks ancient these days, a real shadow of what he was RMQ? Does anyone else feel guilty on RMF when others have bad news, and you have nice news, and even if you acknowledge the bad news and send good wishes, you still feel guilty for having nice news? Is it just me? Or is it the random and nicesness of RMF that you never know what you will be reading??? ETA: Andrea, it helps that I have a natural aversion to sweet things, I don't eat icecream, chocolate or other sweet stuff!
  15. Tesco are doing 25% off on electrical goods here this weekend. I shall be buying two fans. Bruno and I have had the following conversation: Me "Bruni, should I buy one fan or two?" Bruni: "Two please" Me: "One for the living room and one for the bedroom?" Bruno (sighs with frustration): "No, both for the living room whilst I am there, and both to move down at bedtime" Me: "Ok, you know I'll get clubcard vouchers for the discount, should I spend it on dog treats?" Bruno: "Yes please, I smelled the man's pork pie the other day it smelled good *drools* " Me: "Ok so should I spend the vouchers on pork pie for yourself and the dogs?" Bruno: "Well how much meat is in them?" Me: "The big ones have little pastry and loads of meat" Me: "But you'll have to share with the other dogs" Bruno: "sigh" Me: "What about oxtail?" Bruno: "Will I get more bang for my buck with oxtail *drools again*" Me: "Yes, about four days worth and you won't have to share" Bruno: "Oxtail it is then, Me: "Yes Bru, no problem. Bruno: *Tail thump, kiss, smile* I swear, that dog thinks I am his slave For those who do not know, Bruno is a very very lazy lurcher, who adores the fact that OH works nights as he can sleep 18 hours a day with the legitimate excuse that he "needs to mind the humans whilst they sleep" Bruno in normal day to day pose (he's the big one, the smaller one is his demon love child (no relation at all) Penny pooper, stink a blooper)
  16. Sarah I've gone through something similiar in work when I started a few months ago and it was truly horrid. I hope everything works out
  17. Is this suit hideous? ETA: forget it, I didn't notice on the telly that it has short sleeves on the jacket urgh
  18. Wendy So sorry to read the news, I know you will make the right decision for yourself and Dolly Best wishes to you both, and good luck that the CT scan brings positive news
  19. Tiks I forgot to mention I got my nooo glasses (both pairs are a kind of vivid wine) and the lads in work spent time commenting on the frames, the color, how they looked etc. Must mention these are the same lads who will tell me if I have makeup where it should not be (lipstick on cheek), if my jacket collar is not right etc. I'm in a very good mood for some unknown reason lol ETA OMG I have just seen the most fabulastic suit on Gok's fashion fix! It's from Top Shop, I shall now endeavour to hunt it down, tis most seriously girly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. We've gotten much more disciplined about food lately and throw out very little. I recently ate a yoghurt that was three months out of date (it had cultures, I reckoned it would have grown more good cultures than bad ) The dogs tend to get all out of date food that is more than a month old, and they rarely if ever get sick as a result. They eat all leftover veg (feeding a bearded dragon means left over veg) bread, meat, fish, everything, it's very very rare now we would chuck out food.
  21. evening My flu has gone I've finallyish caught up with work (well I will this evening) am off to the dentist in the morning, then in meetings solidly from 12pm - 5:30 pm Jacky best of luck with the job app! Ange congrats on the cards Nog, Dolly and to snow and Wendy too! I've skimmed back, so or to anyone who need them RMF I've gone and done the weekly shop (I've a new strategy to eat decent meals) anyway what with the offers on I've managed to get the makings of six meals for the two of us for £12! I'm well chuffed (well as chuffed as one can be working to a budget ) And I remembered to buy my boss a box of tissues as he has none due to me using them all
  22. I tend to be optimistic in that I always think the best will come of a situation, but a pessimist in that I store up shite, and torture myself that that store of shite is actually reality. Then my optimistic side takes over and usually wins My OH is a helpless pessimist if that makes any sense? One of those pessimists who only see's the negative and can't see a way out of a negative situation regardless of it being a blocked sink or a broken washing machine to a career rut.
  23. Aww no sleep tight Megan to Kerri, Brian and all their crew
  24. Poor Nog am home, mines car is better (and it only cost £28 :biggrin) it is coming home tomorrow Am still feeling a bit poorly, but better, just very tired. Not caught up at all so and as needed.
