Allergies - I SO understand how it feels. I to seem to have become allergic to animals. Ive always had a bad chest and suffered a fair bit with asmtha but it was never animal realated or atleast It never seemed to be, since having a third dog last year, I developed a slight allergy then I build immunity. Now I have been suffering really badly these last few months, I developed hayfever 2 yrs ago and my allergies have gogt worse and worse since then, since the begining of this year I have been on steirods for my chest on and off, they now think I have allergy asmtha, caused by an allergy in the house,I have dogs cats and birds so take your pic, could be any of them, I also have hives and ive had that about a month now,I am just weaning myself off the steirods but the hives are still there, taking antihistimes with little effect. I am about to try Homeopathy,

I am not the least bit offended alison, I wish they did have fleas so I could de flea them and it would sort out the problem for me, but they dont, they get de bugged often and my collie x is allergic to flea spit so id know if there was any around Thanks Dave

Thanks I did look into the Medinose plus machine when I first got hayfever, also got the petal clense here as my allergies got worse since ollie arrived but the petal clense didnt help me much, it was also pollen season at the time. I did seem to build immunity to my own dogs but somehow ive lost it all and much much worse this time. waiting to see what chest specialist says before i decide on plan 50. I think Homeopathy or natural therpy is the way to go Thanks all

Back at docs yesterday again Regular there at the moment The steirods are not working like they should be, he thinks I have allergy asmtha, and I must be living with the allergen, because Im not getting better - Me putting it all together in my head,thinking it must be the dogs cat or birds ? Maybe a comobonation of all 3, off to see a chest specialist if no better after this week. Heres hoping its not the animals but im not too positive. what do i do if it is them?

well the whistle training was going well, but I have messed up somewhere, I started to ease of on the treats and give them randomly. Now Ollie has decided to totally ignore the whistle all the time, this has happend in a short space of time, not sure if or how to get him to come back to me when I blow.

Update Well went back to the doctors today. My chest is better but I still dont feel to bright at the moment and even simple things are making me tired. I have yet another course of steirods and a stronger steriod pump to take 3 times a day. The allergic reaction rash might not go away apprantly, and hes given me antihistimes for this. He says the rash is all linked with the asmtha and Hayfever, and any other allergy. I have never had this rash with asmtha before or hayfever, I think its because my asmtha is so much worse this time and as soon as it calms down im hoping the rash will too. Once I am back to normal I will start seeing a Homeopath and start swimming again to exercise my lungs as this has helped lots in the past and when I was swimming once a week my asmtha nearly went, I really want to get off the steirods meds if possible as I dont feel they do you any good in the long term. Hi all Where do I start. I will try and make this less boring for you all,but here goes I have had asmtha since I was 2 yrs old. Always had dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, (pretty much every small animal you can think of) I have always taken daily meds for my asmtha but it was never really triggered by the animals. 2 yrs ago I developed Hayfever quite badly. Itching eyes,runny nose, sneezing itching throat blocked ears and wheezing chest. Summer is always pretty awful now and I dread it like alot of hayfever suffers.I do take meds for hayfever but they dont seem to do alot. When I had Ollie my Papillon, a few weeks later I seemed to have developed an allergy to dogs, much of the same symtoms as hayfever, itching eyes wheezing chest etc, had a course of steirods and antihistimes and I seemed to build up some immunity to my own dogs again. Although strange dogs do set me off and strange cats now would kill me but I am still ok with my own cat. Many people tell me to rehome my babies but for an animal lover its really hard and not an option as they are part of the family and I love them very much even if they do give me allergic reactions. About 3 weeks ago things got slightly worse, as my chest got bad again but worse than ever this time, so back to docs for more steirods, had a weeks course usually these sort me out and i build immunity again.I wouldnt say the dogs trigger my asmtha but they dont help it when I am ill, and 'new' dogs dont help it, anyway rehoming them still is out of the question, even though I am really suffering now and cant breathe well at all, The steirods are not working and im getting worse (back to the docs on friday) but am looking into Homeopathy or any kind of method of healing that might help. I really need to find something that works and quickly if possible. Thanks all Dave

Hi guys Need some advice again if at all possible, I have 3 dogs and the little one is the problem (again) Ollie my little Papillon is a beautiful little dog.usually well behaved does at hes told. but does love to chase things when hes out, his recall is good offlead providing he doesnt see another dog, bike stake board or anything that is fun to chase, on a long line hes very good and doesnt put a paw wrong. I need to be able to control his desire to chase other dogs/bikes etc when hes off lead. How do I start this any ideas? cheers

Been whistle training on and off parts of the day, this morning I was up stairs whistled and ollie came running, then I started hiding in other rooms and whistling he came. I took him out in on of the lanes (no traffic) left him off lead. made him stay, they whistling him and he comes running every time now. Seems to have cought on very quick.

Well the whistle training is going very well. Today I went upstairs and blew the whistle Ollie came running! (so did sally and ive not done any whistle work with her ) Then when we went on our 'walkies' Sister was walking both dogs offlead - I left them walk ahead...stood back and whistled Ollie came running. Tried it again out in the field 1st time it failed but he was playing ball and the second time he came running. Not bad i dont think for a few days training.

well the whistle training with Ollie seems to be going well. He already has the idea when I blow the whistle he comes to me for a treat. But already seems to know when I dont have treats also. He is a very bright dog so that helps. Seems to have got the idea very quick only been training 2 days Thanks All

Hi all I want to start training my little pap to a whistle. He has good recall and with do the basics, sit stay down etc. But he does have a high chase instinct more so than my Lurcher!! Once he sees a dog, a stakeboard a bike, or anything that moves hes off and hes sooo forcused on it I cant bring him back and get him under control. I thought whistle training might help me get better control over him while he is off lead? and Maybe control this chasing? any help and tips welcome as I have never whistle trained a dog before in my life! :P Thanks all Dave

hi guys well what a couple of days its been, really annoying! lol. well i am the laptop now wireless dodgy though! hasnt work all day,couldnt get it to work on the desktop, and today that has died on me, smoke coming out of it! think its a gonner the laptop has crashed twice, yellow lines across the screen, somtimes its slow, somtimes fast, not very happy at the moment. might send it back! hello all Having real problems with this, Yes I have a number to type in the address bar 192.168.2.1 to get the configue settings up, it was telling me im connected but i couldnt go on the net with it! so I rang Belkin hoping they would take me through it, they were useless! guy hung up! was very rude! He was taking me through the steps and it wasnt working not my fault, he got a bit annoyed! I tried to re enter the number to get the settings up again and come up with an error message, belkin tell me its my pc contact the system vendor. I dont thinks my pc as It worked once and I had the settings up. what do i do next? take the router back? thanks all Im stuck, annoyed and a bit peed off with belkin! Dave

its saying its connected when I try to configure it on the Pc, all the lights are on, on the router, but It wont load a webpage even though it seems to be connected?
