Helen, if you're going to be sent a paper copy of a job application form, I'd recommend photocopying it so you can do a "dummy" run before completing it properly - and take a copy of the completed form afterwards (a digital camera can do very nicely for this!) so you know what you've said - and also so you have the info to hand if you end up applying for another job Oh and fill in the form in black biro - it often stipulates this anyway - makes it easier for them to photocopy. Also, whether you're submitting a CV, or application form, always include a cover letter, no matter how brief. I have heard of even internal applicants not reaching interview stage because they didn't include a cover letter. Even if it's just saying "please find enclosed ..." - but they can sometimes be useful to include info that isn't covered in the application form/CV but that you think is relevant and beneficial to your application. Also, if you've been out of work a while, think of all the stuff you've done in your life in that time that might be relevant to the application - voluntary work, skills you may have taught yourself (using a pc, internet, email for example perhaps?). Good luck Denese - you sound like a grand friend, who cares how you speak! -
If you've paid by credit card, you should contact your credit card company if you haven't already - they should offer protection for such situations. That's why I always try to buy big purchases especially, on credit card. Thanks for the warning.

They're in good hands ... I can resist I need to get a new dirt trapper mat soon - are the Turtle ones meant to be the best? I've got a mat but it's years old and I haven't a clue who it was made by. I don't have a tumble drier though - it's not essential is it? I normally bung this one on a radiator.

I haven't seen it either, sorry Beautiful collies - where were they headed?
-
Helen (Tegwhatevertherestofitis), you're a brave lass
-
Re the naked lady - do you think perhaps you should let the police know, in case she's having a breakdown (emotional, not vehicle) and needs some help before she hurts herself? Either that or there's a hidden camera to see how people react?
-
Allie, can I crosspost this, including photo and your email address? Has anyone tried an appeal in the local or even national papers? Given that Levi helps his owner, I would have thought they might be interested in picking the story up?

Thanks for the link Gnasher

Rob's out tonight so I'm having crisps too and have just been nibbling on some nuts

I think that's my favourite - and I don't care if they're real or not (though I suspect they're not!)

I don't feed raw myself but I have heard a number of people have found their dog's anal gland problems improved/disappeared when they moved to feeding raw. Just a thought. Mine are on Naturediet and seem happy on that.

They've swapped Hayley to everyone that needs them, I don't want to name people and miss someone out.
-
Nope, sorry Alex, can't quite see the similarity

That's what I was thinking - is the hat *alive* now? I mean *this* hat in case you're not sure
-
Wendy, I *think* they are talking about this hat - but I'm not 100% sure so don't quote me. Although if you do quote me, please include the hat
-
I'm not sure I had Claire, so thanks for sharing - I'd have missed out on a treat if you'd not posted it
-
I'm glad she won't be upset. That's good to know
-
... and wondering if it might upset Mel if we keep posting it?
