  1. Good luck Hollie Sorry about the cat - could she not be fed separately from the others?
  2. Are you still recovering from the dinner parties? (booked the ski-ing holiday yet?)
  3. I thought I would recommend the 'Hands on Healing for Pets' by Margrit Coates book for those that are interested in learning about giving healing for their own pets. There are also a number of places that people can request distant healing (also the Reiki thread on here of course). There's the: Distant Healing Network - you can request healing for people or animals and a number of volunteer healers are allocated to your "case". There is no charge for this service. I've also recently heard of a healing centre in the UK - The Sanctuary. If you're close enough you can visit for hands-on-healing, otherwise you can request distant healing. The distant healing is given free of charge though you are given the opportunity to make a small donation to help with their work if you wish. There's also the Self-Realisation and Meditation Centre in Somerset in the UK. This is where I first ventured into healing, without knowing what to expect, and attended their short animal healing weekend. It was wonderful and the place is just perfect, one of the nicest places I have ever visited. I later went on to become involved with Reiki (not through the centre). I thought these references might be handy for forum members. NB/Disclaimer - this information is intended as a complementary therapy and doesn't not replace vet consultation/advice/treatment
  4. Carol and Trevor are the nicest hosts you could ask for, really lovely
  5. Am just trying Lime Doritos for the first time - they're rather nice
  6. Do you have any peppermint tea, rescue remedy etc? Hope you're feeling better about things this time tomorrow
  7. Sam, I'm not sure legally where you stand, but hopefully if you kick up a big enough fuss they will offer you the pay-off (and then you can do the reporting bit too) Rather worrying that they're putting someone with no experience into such a responsible position
  8. Noooooooooooooooo you have to tell me. Even though I haven't a clue what it was, it will bug me like mad if I don't know! I shall in future refer to you only as the lovely and talented Wendy <creep, creep>
  9. I think you missed out an '0' Erm, moonboobies (sorry I never used to call you that did I) - I think you'll find I post a LOT less than some people!
  10. I think this should be my 1000th post - and I felt I *had* to post it here
  11. I can't wait to have mine done - well I say can't, I'll have to!
  12. Good luck, I hope he will help out. I seem to remember you saying you were sorting out times for him to spend with the dogs? So he's not wanting to walk away from *them* - in which case hopefully he might be willing, even in non-legal terms to help with their upkeep. I'll keep everything crossed! If you have any Reiki people on the IoM I can highly recommend you try a Reiki session. It's very calming and Reiki has helped me thru' some fairly cr*ppy times in my life. Just a thought
  13. I don't know anything about you guys other than what you've said here but it sounds as though he doubts him self and is so insecure that he's convinced himself that you've cheated It's understandable you would still love him, like you say he's your husband and you gave up a lot because you love him. It's a huge, huge shame he can't see that but it sounds as though he needs some professional help to sort his head out (I don't mean that in a nasty way) . Given that the dogs are with you and you need to keep hold of the house for that reason, could he not help you out more with the rent/mortgage, or is that not an option? Could you find someone trustworthy to rent a room - do you have a spare bedroom?
  14. In the cupboard under the sink, or the cupboard under the stairs? Rob spent about 10 mins earlier looking for something upstairs, huffing and puffing. I went up and found it in about 20 seconds Has Helen (Tegk...) posted since the dinner party with the relative strangers? Or is she still asleep from drinking all that wine?
  15. Am going to watch the Herbie Reloaded film on Sky later Am also aiming to reach my 1,000th post over the weekend Donna, that's a fabulously snowy photo!!!
  16. We felt the same about a lab Rob found in the middle of the road last year when he went off to town. He brought her back here and he and our neighbour drove around to see if they could find her owner (no tag on collar) and we weren't sure where she'd come from. Dog warden came out and scanned her (they're good round here) - no microchip. They got her a place at a boarding kennel, from where she'd have gone to the local rescue (which is fab). I knew there was no chance of pts and she was only here for an hour or so in total probably but I felt awful letting her go. We had a happy ending though - I'd called the police with the details and left my number and they gave her owner our number later that day and reclaimed her from the kennel first thing the next day. They thought a gas rep had visited and left the back gate open . They were very glad Rob had found her before a car did and they sent us some flowers . The dog warden and I both mentioned about microchipping etc. too. Hope there's a lovely rottie owner out there looking for your one
  17. I generally think H&B stuff is great, but I did try one of mine on some MSM from H&B a few years ago and I saw her stiffness deteriorate too. I don't think it was coincidence because once I realised I went back to what she'd had previously and she got better again.
  18. Sending Reiki to Paula's dad and Jimmycat - Wendy do you have a photo of her?
  19. Oh fab, I have a dog that will LOVE one. His favourite toy at the moment is the tennis ball type Air Kong dumbell. He's on his third but won't let me throw any of them away. They do last far longer than most things with him. I bought him a "combat" toy for Christmas that was meant to be virtually indestructible. He had virtually destroyed it within about 10 minutes. Lasted longer than the reindeer the previous year though
  20. Hello Amanda Helen, I'm very sorry but I have laughed madly at you for forgetting that you invited someone for dinner Hope you have had enough wine that you don't care anymore Elaine, great photos - is that an exceptionally large tennis ball or is Indy an exceptionally small dog? Trudi, sounds scary - did they break a window to get in? I once had someone try to break in one night at our last house, pre-dogs and while Rob was away. I heard them, went downstairs (not really thinking it would be someone breaking in) and fortunately must have disturbed them before they got in. They'd broken one of the windows but luckily not got to open it and they'd not realised that one of the other windows was unlocked to anyone in need
