  1. Ugh. I am sicker than a sick thing. Not sure if it's a bug or the sushi I ate on saturday. Either way I am not going to work today and am looking a lot like this:
  2. I am full of squirrel-esque excitement at the prospect of getting a new 'beast' of a vehicle on Wednesday ...even though it's just taken me almost an hour to find the registration document for the van I'm trading in
  3. Fingers crossed everything will be ok
  4. Is your boiler fixed yet missus?
  5. Ooh missus, did you get the boiler fixed?
  6. Great innit? You can tell the 'real' hounds though, poor Penny just sort of woofs along with them while the others do a proper howl (Henry can't do either, he just farts while he tries to keep up with them )
  7. Mornink I had the house to myself last night, went to bed 11:30 hoping for a good sleep and a lie in. Nope. Drunken phone call as 4:30 from Steve just to let me know he'd survived the stag night, had won the toss for the double bed in the room he's sharing, he loved me and had I gone to bed yet? It was 4:30 FFS. Guin was obviously spooked by the phone going off so got all stressy and needed out at 5am. I couldn't get back to sleep so got up, played a couple of rounds on 'Doghouse', had a hot milk and got back to bed around 6:30 after letting all the hounds out. Good few hours lie in to follow I thought Nope! Hounds all decided to do a random sing song (they sometimes do a howling chorus which is quite bizarre to hear) to serenade me.... at 8:30. So I am up, showered, dressed on to 2nd coffee and sorting out eBay now Ho hum
  8. So sorry Gem's time with you may have been short but it will have been filled with love, so sad that she couldn't have had more time with you Sleep safe Gem
  9. JulesB: want me to come round and scare the engineer? I tend to do that to people who don't give me the service I expect..... Hope the boiler's fixed today Thursday night out was a Sportman's dinner, paid for by one of my reps, It was a good laugh, the hangover was worth it! I have just dropped Steve off at the train station to go on a stag night out in Glasgow with around 16 fellow musician types.... it's going to be messy! I'm supposed to pick him up at 12ish tomorrow lunchtime....I seriously doubt any of them will be on that train!!! I shall either spend the evening tidying up and listing more stuff on ebay or going to see one of the local bands..... dilemma, dilemma....
  10. That still not fixed? Give them hell
  11. I think I'm still hungover from last night and there's a bunch of helium ballons lurking at the top of the stairs ceiling that I can't remember bringing home.... ........they'll have to stay there till they stop floating though cos I'm not getting the ladders out to get to them!
  12. I've used Burgess food for many years and found it to be the best on the market tbh, the sample of greyhound food I've had is great too. I use their stuff for most of the small animal feed too.
  13. Just got a very hard hitting, and brilliant, email from the Burgess foods mailing list. I can't post the actual thing as it has pics in but here's the main text and the pic of Jeremy. Good for them!!! ....and for Jeremy Jeremy only wanted a forever lving home... Yet he was found with injuries described as among the most horrific ever seen. He was emaciated, covered in mange and had bites that went down to the bone causing the loss of an eye. His injuries were so severe it’s suspected that, after he had outlived his usefulness as a racing dog, he’d been used as a training aid for a dog fighting ring. He was taken to Tia Greyhound and Lurcher Rescue in Halifax and it was here, in care of this specialist rescue centre that re-homes more than 250 dogs every year, that Jeremy began his long journey back to health and eventually found his happy new forever home. Whilst many Greyhounds and Lurchers have happy lives, there are others who suffer neglect, abuse and homelessness when they become surplus to requirements. At Burgess we love Greyhounds and Lurchers, so we created Supadog Greyhound and Lurcher, a complete food specifically developed for the nutritional needs of pet Greyhounds and Lurchers. Burgess will donate 20p for every 15kg sack and 5p for every 2.5kg bag bought, to rescue centres belonging to the Alliance of Independent Greyhound Rescues. This is a forever promise to these beautiful, peaceful animals. To find out more about the new Burgess Supadog Greyhound & Lurcher food visit www.burgesspetcare.co.uk Even if you don't own a Greyhound or Lurcher you can still help our 'Make a Purchase, Make a Difference' appeal by making a donation to an independant Greyhound or Lurcher rescue centre through Just Giving or passing this e-mail on to others who might like to help make a brighter future for Greyhounds and Lurchers like Jeremy.
