I cannot believe that your vets think mail gets moved and delivered during a postal strike! That sample doesn't have a chance of getting anywhere before Monday. You'd think when a life is at stake they could use a courier. Glad it sounds as though someone with experience is going to talk to your vet today. Another thought - what about also talking to a Homepopathic Vet? The two could work together to help your baby and give her the best possible care. I agree with cocoa - you know your dog best and if not happy with what that vet says, see another. I know someone whose Weim had Meningitis as a vaccine reaction, she's fine now, years on, but obviously no boosters for her. Loads of Reiki

I wouldn't use Valerian or skullcap and valerian just now - give her a chance to settle and then see if it's needed. I'm not a fan of DAP diffusers either, (the animals don't rate them much either) What I would use is Flower Remedies - you can give Rescue Remedy a try, it may help, I'd also get Walnut as it's for change. Flower Essences can be got in some chemists, Tesco do RR but none of the others. (If you want to pm me with more info, I can try to work out what would be best for her.)

One thing you have to remember is that you know your dog best, and as such you will have a 'feel' for what's right and wrong, so if you are tending towards the collapsed trachea, perhaps worth going to a totally different vet and asking what they think? I know, it's always difficult, we assume they know best, but they don't always get it right. Go with your gut. I'll keep sending Reiki if he wants it.

yep, I'd take dog - years ago I got a call from someone in the village - lost dog running around scared, people trying to catch, and of course dog freaking all the more. I went with Hannah and a pocketful of treats, within a few minutes I had dog safely on lead, read tag and phoned her people. If you want Homeopathic, Arnica is good for any injury and particularly after surgery - How recent was the surgery? If I'm right in thinking it was in the last week or two, probably 30c, one tablet three times daily for a few days, otherwise 6c, same dosage. Hypercal is good for bathing wounds, it's Hypericum and Calendula, I don't know if you'd get it in chemist, but you can order from Freemans www.freemans.uk.com You put a few drops in cooled boiled water. The other suggestions are all great, only other one I can think of is Colloidal Silver, but again, it's not Homeopathic, but is antiseptic, antibiotic, etc just like honey, only honey tastes better Best thing probably is Healing - the energetic part of the tail is still there. I'll send some Reiki if she wants it, someone local could help too.

Sending lots of Reiki. Rescue Remedy, Homeopathic Arnica preferably 30c, but 6c would do, one three times daily, also, and even better might be Ruta Grav - it's for dislocations. Dump that vet and find a decent one I think. How about a Homeopathic one, or an acupuncturist to see if it'll pop back in more permanently?
