  1. Have just phoned the Grosvenor House to express my concerns/disappointment/outrage. Advised to contact Events Manager after 9am on same number (from Allie's post above).
  2. D'you know I think ms merle is my inspiration... I slope on here with vague ideas about starting a reading or planning the next bit of housework... and there's invariably a mm post about decorating, cleaning, walking etc etc... You're amazing Alex! I often use your rmf posts about your various tasks to motivate me through mine
  3. ... for all sore noses and lips. Well weed indeed Pops Elaine... that little man with big issues means nothing in comparison to you doing what's right for you... whatever feels most comfortable and doable for now Sam you have great bone structure so just a thin moisturiser foundation mix plus a stroke of bronzer will bring that out.
  4. Hoping Loki makes a speedy recovery. Thinking lots of good thoughts
  5. Hoping Poppy is feeling more comfy in herself. Thinking good thoughts for you both

  9. Morning... I appear to have lost the ability to do quotes so... Fiona.. your mention of Midori just dragged me back to a bright green time of my life. Hope the frustration has eased now. Elaine.. Sorrry you're feeling miserable I've been having similar thoughts about paranoia... It's not at it's best in company either
  10. Have had a Bert day today.... nice long grooming session followed by a good walk and run through the fields... very muddy so should have done things the other way around. He is now in his bed chewing on a pizzle and looking as tho' all is well in the world. This is in contrast to yesterday when we went shopping and came back to find that he had opened the 'cupboard under the sink' popped my little washing liquid sachets, sat in them, pooed, stood in it and then hopped onto the worksurface and curled up in the sink
  11. Morning all. Erin is out of hospital I'm thinking lots of good thoughts for Poppy
  12. Thinking good thoughts for this afternoon Sam We have snow ETA Yes good luck with the preparations today Chasta. I know how you feel on that one. I've started sellotaping any cupboard doors shut. Bert is very nimble with his mouth on handles
  13. So sorry to hear about Blue. Snow... Hope your back is not badly damaged. Relax and take it easy a while. Elaine... maybe you could do a 'groundhog day' and just go back to the CAB, request a different counsellor person and start again with them. Andrea... your situation sounds extremely stressful. Hope things ease up with SD soon

  16. Morning Fugee land Thinking good thoughts for Sam . Oh Poppy . RMF I seem to have developed a habit of logging on and then falling asleep whilst reading
  17. So sorry to hear about Daisy's passing Thinking lots of good thoughts for Julian. Hope Poppy will soon be for more comfortable. Erin update... The surgical consultant thinks that she has an abcess and requires surgery. The medical consultant thinks her crohns has flared up and that she doesn't need surgery. Erin herself says that she would rather have surgery as it will be over quicker. If it is crohns she has to starve for 6 weeks and be fed via an ng tube. Yesterday the medical team spoke to her before I got there and when I arrived, told me how wonderful she was as she had smiled and agreed to the nasal feeding without a fuss.... unlike most teenagers. Unfortunately as son as I got there she burst into tears and said she'd just take the tube out and not have it once she got home. She doesn't think it is worth 6 weeks of starving if all she's going to get out of it is a couple of months of being well. Plus the enteral feed is 3000 calories a day.... and she doesn't want to pile the weight on..... I'm waffling aren't I. I'm sorry. Have had chocolate buttons and coffee for breakfast
  18. Morning, am just going to get ready to visit Erin. Bob and I are taking it in turns. When he got back from the ward round yesterday he said that the consultant now thinks Erin may have an internal abcess and so is considering surgery .
  19. Thankyou Kazz, and for the phone message .Have been in touch with Carol. Everything's manageable at the minute. Should know more after the ward round tomorrow . Brilliant news for Jemima !
  20. What did you do to your hand Alex?
  21. Sending lots of positive thoughts for Saffie
  22. So sorry to hear about Jet Thankyou for all of the good wishes for Erin. We are still waiting for a final confirmation but it looks like Erin's crohns disease has flared up again. She has had a ct scan/ultrasound which show left sided inflammation. She's on a lot of antibiotics. Just waiting to get a final opinion from another medical consultant and it looks like she will be having a nasogastric tube fitted and begin the 6 week enteral feed regime. She is devastated. She had kept on saying that she was sure that the pain didn't feel like crohns so at least she wouldn't have to go through all that again. Now it probably is... will know for definite later.
  23. That is very beautiful Mel
