finally finished making all the code changes i needed to do... god that was a ballache. tested them this morning with the latest release of the board software and all looks good. so expect to see some things change over the next few days

had loads of lovely big flakes of snow last night.. and then at 5 am ish it pissed down and melted all the snow i was going to spend the day playing in with the dogs.. boo hisss

i . hate.developers.who.dont.annotate.their.code trying to find out how to rename "classified" to "re-homing" and "fundraising" in some code in one of the modules I have... are there any notes in the code saying what each section does.. no there bloody well isn't.

Over the next few days I am going to be reorganising the forums. some will merge with other forums and be renames in a more general style and there will be a couple of new ones. the overall idea is to make things a bit easier to use but if nay bits dont work i will move them back. if i remember... i will do a map of what has moved where

I have finally got off my bum and published the first bits for the new main website: http://www.therefuge.org.uk and http://www.therefugeforums.org.uk but i do not seem to have any decent pictures of cats or any animals other than bunnies and dogs so i am looking for good pictures of any animal (most of my dog pics are of rotties for some reason )that i can use on the main page

That sounds like a good thing sam. Too many people don’t act on their dreams (me included) but you have done so and made a huge difference to the dog population in the areas where dogstar operates. I sincerely hope it goes from strength to strength and that both you and mark get the rewards from it that you justly deserve

pah -4 is nothing. I spend most of the end of jan/beginning of feb on Krakow. last year it was -32 at midday one day. I love perogi and the perogi shop that i go to for my lunch is about a 10 minute walk from the office. I made the mistake one day of going without a hat.. wont be doing that again in a hurry.

went to see the levellers tonight. a good jumpy up and down session only marred by the realisation my right knee is going to be killing me in the morning. cracking set with a good mix of old and new.

I am starting to make some changes to the board to improve security etc. I have also updated all the board software to the latest versions which has some nice admin touches that make changing look and feel much easier. so i am going to have a play today whilst I actually have some time to work on the boards there should be nothing that will affect board availability but if i accidentally click on something i shouldn't then it may wibble for a few seconds whilst I undo what i did
