Yes, not an insurmountable problem. Probably an inconvenience now that family have moved on. He is in foster with 3 Goldens. When I lost Cleo I thought I would not have any more dogs due to age but , having had one or more at a time since 1972 it just didn’t seem right without a dog. I have trained and competed in obedience, studied dog behaviour due to having a reactive dog, and dabbled in agility. I have seen many changes for the better in training dogs.

Had a photo of foster dog having cuddles on the couch- he has made himself at home. Poor Brian but he will soon bounce back. Keeping them quiet is usually the problem

used to love fostering, dont miss it helping rescues but look forward to getting a call myself brian is asleep at last with his doughnut on stopping him from chewing his stitches.

Foster dog has moved on. He has made big improvements but I feel I have done all I can with him. He needs a quieter environment to learn it is not a big bad world out there and he needs other dogs for confidence. He has gone to a hime who have two goldens and are well used to labradors. he jumped into thier car without a backward look. Got a text in the evening that introductions had gone well and they were all playing in the garden. So much for an 'aggressive dog' He is not aggressive , he is that dog that wants to say 'hI', and does not know how to cope with the frustration of being prevented by a lead. He is a foster dog but we are hoping he will be a keeper.

Hiya Rick and I had a chat last night, I will be around a bit more as I have just retired, we are thinking of ways we could maybe try and get a bit more stuff going and try and encourage members back and new ones to join. I will be away for a couple of weeks during June but will get my thinking cap on.

It has been mixed weather here. Some nice dry spells spolied by rain arriving. Had a long walk today as it was so nice to be out in the dry. Harry is now flat out and I amm enjoying a coffee and thinking about waht I should be doing.

Nothing much happening here. Trying to teach Harry to use his brain. He seems to have been left to his own devices anmd tp please himself. He learns quickly but defaults to his one obsession- giving paws or jumping up. . He thinks that is the answer to everything. Hung washing out and it started raining. Brought it in again, now sun is shining again, but I don't think it will last so not putting it out agin.

Vet visit went OK, vet wasn't too worried about Finley's weight as she says her BT is the same. Doesn't like the cold and sleeps by the fire as much as possible in winter, then gets more active in spring. We did have sunlight from late morning, and Fin spent 2 hours racing around the garden non-stop after rodents and wood pigeons. before we set off for the vet.

We had a good run down , Freezing fog on Sunday morning but it quickly cleared. Good run home. After a fidgiey morning Harry has a long pee at lunch tine breaj settled down to sleep for the rest of the journey. Got home about 7/30 pm- 800 miles there and back. Have had a nice steady walk round the neighbourhood. Harry thought he should speak to everybody we passed.. he is very riendly to everybody so far, including a litle staffy who was desparare to say hello.

ive got the washing done. got mould in the washing machine again. its only year old so put bleach in on high

Thanks owl, that is what they are. The site I looked a tonly gave the male version. The two males come together and the two females come together. Sunny but cold today but it is nice to have some brightness after several dull days with ramdom rain showers.

did 2 live sales yesterday, did well. chest infection isnt fun. but its half price electric today so beds stripped ready. got to do totals and pack the stuff. no rest for the wicked, or me lol how are you all?

Thank you for all the sleep tips - reading worked the first night , but note to self - don't start the new Rebus novel and expect to nod off quickly lol I got absorbed in it and couldn't put it down, so boring books from now on and I'll maybe try a herbal remedy too. Dry here at present but cold. Yesterday a little vole was sniffing around the base of my bird table. It found a seed, grabbed it and scuttled off with it in its mouth, under the fence..

feeling a bit better but not much energy. back to coffees im relieved to say love to all x

Good morning. Can't believe it's October already. lovely day here again so had a nice walk with Cooper. earlier as it was one of his brighter days. Not much planned for today so will try and get out in the garden for a while.

Did a washing and put in tumble drier, as BG have a half price electricity offer on at the moment. Blue skies at the moment so a nice autumn day. Needed T bags so popped to Asda- spent £25 and came home without any T bags!

Good morning. Had a good day yesterday with Finlay, had to go to Worksop for a few things then went on to Welbeck farm shop, part of Welbeck Abbey which is a stately home with large estate, now has cafe, shop etc in courtyard and a garden centre. Finley was so overwhelmed by the calm atmosphere and impressive surroundings that he didn't swear and curse and mutter at everything in his usual way but was very civilised and polite, even though there were other dogs around. There are some new footpaths since I was last there, some gravelled and fenced, good place for walking in all weathers, so we explored some of those.

wow, doctor was quick, got my CT scans on my shoulders the 26th. might get the MRI date soon then
