Kimbas_mum
I was wondering what the experienced bods would suggest as a first exercise to teach my GSP? I have taught him to target a stick and he will happily move to touch it but is still too worried (scary past) to go through the legs or anything like that. Where would you begin? crazyspaniels
I would then go for walking backwards and twists at your side. Have you done twists with your target stick?
Kimbas_mum
just started twists with the targets, is it best to get one exercise absolutely solid before rewarding anything else he offers. When does free-shaping come into it? Is that something that can be used all the time? and if so how? Jasper is doing really well, he is very enthusiastic and after one day of practice he is doing pretty good twists with the target stick, haven't introduced a command yet cos I want to make sure he is doing it right before doing that. gooster
How come you aren't having a go with Kimba? I think it would be really impressive if you could get him weaving between your legs
