It seems like only yesterday we collected him from the dogs home as a tiny scared poopie We have had great times together, trying our hand at obedience and agility, before finding his calling in life - flyball. Flyball was where he could release his inner hooligan and run as fast as he could and get his ball, as well as barking like a crazed loon He was flyball dog of the year in 2005, something I am immensely proud of him for - most previous winners of that were border collies - not scruffy little black dogs who don't look like they could outrun the collies Unfortunately after 9 years flyballing and achieving over 60,000 flyball points, he ruptured his cruciate ligament in his right hind whilst turning on the flyball box, meaning that his flyball days were over However, this now means that he can chase his ball in the hydrotherapy pool instead Despite now being deaf, he still loves a good chomp on a squeaky toy.
