Alfie hasn't had the best start in life and has recently gone through several changes in quick succession, needless to say this has left him a little unsure of himself. His second family had him for a day and when after picking up a shoe he growled didnt want him any more, this of course is being assessed to establish wether this was play on his part or a classic case of guarding something he finds high value.

 

He is currently in foster care with two other dogs and a cat and gets on well with all three.

He travels well in a car and is used to being in a crate.

 

Early assessment shows that Alfie being a normal energetic springer is looking for a home that can provide him with lots of exercise and mental stimulation, he would thrive with a job to do such as gundog work or agility but any owner will need to start from scratch with him as he only knows basic commands, on the plus side he has pretty good recall, which if you ask us is a massive bonus and a good place to take things further.

 

Alfie hasnt seen much routine in his life and we think he has been excluded from being with his family because of his energy, a classic tale of a working type springer in the wrong home, sadly for him. Lets rectify that and get him in the right home.
