K9Fran
I work from my bosses home office - his dog has recently taken to eating the leaves from the Michaelmas Daisy plant in the garden I've checked out the poisons list, and it's not there. Do any of your folks who are into your herbal potions know what she might be seeking from this plant? Thanks
cycas
Some members of the aster family are considered relatively palatable salad plants so my guess would be that he just has discovered that he likes the taste: if you have a look at Plants for a Future you can see they rate several of the Aster family for human consumption in salads : http://www.pfaf.org/database/search_name.php?ALLNAMES=Aster However, before assuming the plant is safe, do be careful to triple-check exactly what he means by 'michaelmas daisy'. There are enormous numbers of daisy-flowered plants in gardens, and most people struggle to tell many of the species apart.
