2010 Calendars

Melp

Recommended Posts

Merseyside Police have produced calendars featuring police dogs at work and play. The scant information have is that this will be a 13 month calendar starting in November 2009.

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to Guide Dogs for the blind and the launch will coincide with National Guide Dogs week.

I've been asked to distribute some of the calendars.

Cost is £5 plus p&p [not sure what that is but no more than a couple of quid]

No pcs or blurb as yet, I'm just getting in early!

Will post more as and when I have it.

If you'd be interested, bung your name down here and I'll update asap.

From what I can gather, the focus is on the dogs being dogs and playing rather than working [but the ACC insisted they be shown in their usual role too]

Ok. The calendars cost £5 [plus £2 p&p]

The total profit of £5 will go to Guide Dogs for the Blind Association.

Calendars start in Nov 2009 and feature nov/dec on the first page. After which there is one month per page.

Calendars are A3 in size and feature a large picture of the dog at play plus a smaller pic of the dog working.

In 1917 the first guide dogs were trained to lead soldiers who had been blinded in world war 1.

The Guide Digs for the Blind Association is the worlds largest breeder and tainer of working dogs. Thanks to the work of dedicated staff and volunteers, some 21,000 blind and partially sighted people have experienced the independence that a guide dog can bring.

Inspector Neil Davies of Merseyside Police Dog Section says:

"Thankyou so much for buying our charity calendar 2010. We have been planning this for the past year and those involved have undertaken lots of unpaid work. Special thanks must go to our photographer, Steward Ellet and his wife Jan. I also want to thank all of our sponsrs who have funded the cots of produsing the valendar, which has meant that all proceeds will go to our chosen charity."

I'm helping to sell these calendars on behalf of the charity. Sadly due to my own personal financial circumstances I cannot ocover the cost of p&p [£2] but the entire cost of the calendar will go to the charity.

If you'd like to order one [and please please do lol], paypal your dosh to [email protected] with your address and I'll get one out to you asap.

They really are very nice and the dogs are mega cute!

Steward Ellet is a wildlife and pet photographer. You can see more of his work at www.eyesofthewild.co.uk
