We stayed at Ambleside this year as our usual bolt hole in Elterwater wasn't available. As it turned out, it was just as well as Elterwater is undergoing some construction work to the row of cottages and the Post Office and shop is closed. So I think we'll probably use Ambleside as our base from now on. Here's some pics for you to enjoy Now some on dry land!
