mersey pet amb
The Merseyside pet ambulance has now operated for three years in the Mersey region, our core business has been transporting pet owners and owned domestic animals throughout the area to vets. We have also answer calls from the police for injured strays. This has always been a service we have had to charge the police for. Since the change in legislation regarding stray dogs this has meant that uninjured strays are left to roam the streets at night and then become involved in RTA's as there is no collection service and the police have no reponsibility for them until they become injured or hurt. We are now proposing to launch a FREE ambulance service to pick up stray dogs of a night time or at weekends before they get killed or injured. This service will relay entirely on public donations. We are also looking to recruit a fundraising team and other volunteers who feel they may be able to assist us. We need to raise around £1000.00 to get this service up and running and we are around halfway there. if you can help please go to our website at www.merseysidepetambulance.co.uk and go to the link for the animal rescue team.......
