Fee
Jack is an active 12 year old Jack Russell Terrier who came into Oldies Club care when his owner emigrated. He’s currently in foster care in Romsey, Hampshire and we think you’ll agree that he’s a perfect little chap. Watch his video here! When Jack first arrived in foster care it took him a few days to adapt, but now he settles down quietly at night and is fine to be left for reasonable periods of time during the day. Jack gets along fine with all dogs, big or small, male or female, and he currently shares his foster home with two greyhound boys. When he’s out on walks he likes to play with some dogs, but with others he’ll just stop to say hello and then go on his merry way. Jack doesn’t mind if he goes to a new home with or without other dogs, he’s really quite relaxed about it. Jack is excellent with cats, he’ll have a sniff to say hello but generally ignores them. He’s good with children too, but we’d like him to find a new home with older children (10 yrs+) so he can have some quiet time. We were told by his previous owner that he doesn’t like being picked up, but he’s fine if you’re very gentle with him. Jack loves his walks and he’s great on and off the lead. He has good recall and nevers wanders off too far. He’s met rabbits and cows on his walks, but hasn’t been interested in them at all. He also loves travelling in the car so he’ll make a perfect holiday companion! Jack enjoys playing with his toys and loves to snuggle up for a cuddle. He’s always eager to please and is quite talented too; he can sing along to Eastenders! Apart from this occasional sing-song and letting you know when someone’s at the door, he’s generally quiet and doesn’t bark very much at all. Jack’s foster mum says she can’t fault him in any way, he’s a real happy little soul who is going to make a wonderful companion for some lucky person. Jack is in good health and is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He’s also recently been flea and worm treated. If you’d like to enquire about Jack, please refer to our Adoption Procedures for information about the adoption process. You can then contact an Oldies Club rehoming co-ordinator as follows: Email: [email protected] Telephone: 0844 586 8656 Jack can be rehomed anywhere in the UK, subject to a satisfactory home visit, but note that you will be required to travel to the foster home to meet him.
