Taking Your Dog Christmas Shopping?

Every year me and my equally optimistic friend, Kate, take our dogs, Oscar and Browser, to Pets at Home to choose their Christmas presents. This is followed by a drive-through McDonalds (don't worry, it's not a regular event). Every year we (me and Kate, not dogs!) come back nowty and exhausted!

Oscar spent his whole time there either mugging PaT staff for biscuits or deciding he wanted everything for Christmas.

Browser didn't want to wait for Christmas day for the toy he'd chosen and refused to give it back. We had give it to the cashier full of dog saliva and teeth marks, lucky her!

To put the tin lid on it, Oscar helped himself to a bone as we were waiting at the checkout. On the plus side, they've chosen their presents and had a nice time, both of them are worn out now, especailly as they had a snowball fight when they got home, followed by a McDonalds.

Does anyone else have Christmas traditions that aren't as good an idea as they sound?!
