Despite a sense of relief that this widespread practice has finally been exposed, we also feel enormous revulsion and despair – ‘shell shocked’ is an understatement. It appears the racing industry has been crudely disposing of their surplus greyhounds, as always, very cost effectively The highly unethical slaughtering of healthy greyhounds and the selling of their warm body parts for profit was hugely distasteful and we questioned, earlier this year, ‘Is this the end to the exploitation – what do you think happens to the carcases’?
