Gsdx Bitch

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine rescued a GSDx bitch from a difficult situation but financial/accommodation problems have meant that he can't keep her either. He has done right by her but she needs a safe home before he moves, she is very pretty which to me makes her all the more vulnerable, he is at least her 3rd home if not more :( . Her recall is good, she is good with children but needs mental stimulation and activity and training like any GSD. I will cat test her this weekend with my lot.

Ella - about 3 yrs old, neutered.

Loves to play with my lot

If you can give a suitable, loving home please PM me, thanks. Usual homechecks etc.

HI there :)

it may help Ella find a home sooner if you can say where she is in the country, if she can travel to a new home and how far and if any rescue or the present owner is able to offer any form of back up in the event of a new home not working out.

Good luck, i hope she finds her perfect home, shes beautiful :)

Ella came round to mine for an hour or so today. She is fine with the dogs though very excitable as she's not used to sharing with other animals. She thought the cat was very interesting but then she was distracted by something else and next time she saw the cat she wasn't that fussed about it, though was still intriqued as to what it actually was. The she saw the chicken and that was a different matter  , though she is so well behaved and amenable to instruction, that she could be trained off. She is very skittish and bouncy and I can see why the owner needs to find her a home where she'll get the stimulation and exercise she needs. She is also quite dominant with my boys (this was hilarious), so anyone needing a bossy bitch .......

Ella is coming on really nicely with the cats. She came round again for an hour and she never settled but you can't blame her with Harvey (her best play friend) in the next room, 4 knuckle bones, cat food and the smell of chicken! But she sat with me and does sit on command, and gave me nice sniffs and cuddles and forgot about the cat when she found the bones! She is such a lovely friendly girl and her ears are hilarious!

Also she is chipped.

We thought we had this girl sorted, that is the owner thought he had found a way to keep her in very difficult circumstances, but it is not working :( so she still needs a good home - he dad is looking for work and has to be out of the house far too long to leave her alone and dog walkers are not enough. She runs with my lot and is exemplary in keeping them rounded up and together and I've never seen any aggression from her. Onlead she is variable but I fink a bit more direction from the owner might help   - he knows I've said that!

So I'm taking her to training classes to get her used to new situations and new owners which I am sure she will do well at, but I cannot keep her as I have 5 already and cannot afford another :mecry: .

Playing advocate here, you sound quite in love with her (understandably as she is stunning) do you think her present owner would let you foster her and cover your costs until a more perminant home can be found :)

Yes, though not sure about costs as he's not working.

She's been to my house on her own now and because she knows her place she is really calm and basically waiting and happy to accept instructions. If I didn't have a bad back I would be taking her to agility with one of mine as well  .
